    I'll try to summarize thread comments I've read. Lots to consider for your particular needs:

    - Average 2nd gen appears to have 1.75" rake
    - While the TRD PRO kit is supposed to level the truck it's not unusual to see the taco a bit nose high hence the desire for rear leaf mod
    - Appears to be about $200 more for full pack
    - AAL is 1.5-2" vs 2-3" for full pack depending on which pack you purchase
    - Lift height and ride firmness is of course affected by bed tops, after market bumpers, etc.
    - Full pack "may" exceed rear TRD PRO shock specs. However, one poster noted that OME shock specs are virtually identical to TRD PRO shock specs and OME's are recommended with their full pack that lifts up to 3" (Notice I said OME and not OEM)
    - With AAL you still use some of your OEM leafs which many have had issues with in regards to flattening or frowning
    - Deciding to keep/not keep the overload leaf with the AAL will affect ride firmness and load capacity of bed. How you use the bed is critical to decision.

    Interesting is that there is a discussion below that basically suggests that regardless of what aftermarket leaf pack you choose, the shock will be the limiting factor unless you are doing shock relocates.

    Yeah that's my plan too - start early, get at least the fronts in and grind the factory pack in the rear, and then tackle the rest of it Sunday + alignment trip.

    Gonna go get my alignment in a couple days. It might just be in my head. But I haven’t noticed the small vibration I was getting at like 35 mph. So I’m hoping everything else will dial in better.

    It really depends on what you're trying to achieve. Adding this spring seat is adding 1" of preload to the coils, which will make them ride slightly stiffer. A top plate spacer moves the entire coilover downward so it increases droop limit at the expense of the collapsed limit of the shock. Depending on the size of the spacer, one might have to lower the bump stop to prevent the shock from bottoming out during compression. In either case a longer spring is better.

    Thanks for the info, I have been doing a little more research and now wondering if I should install these things...

    I think I would be ok with the stiffer ride, but is there any risk of damaging the shock with these? My understanding is that by preloading the spring, it essentially stretches the shock out a little further - does this cause potential for problems?

    Shocks have a set stroke length, there can be no stretching when it comes to their collapsed and extended lengths. Optimally you want your ride height to be in the middle of the range so your shock has room for uptravel and downtravel. Preloading ultimately compresses the coil to extend shock (therefore increasing ride height), so you lose a little bit of down travel. 1" of preload isn't very much so no there isn't much potential for a problem.
