Yeah its not too bad. Wondering though, if your not planning on tubbing is it really worth it. Right now I am rubbing on the firewall. It would look a lot cleaner than my current mounts. However, once I cap them, they should look better hopefully lol.

clean with mineral spirits or acetone, apply self etching primer, paint. primer recommends doing a light wet sand to scuff metal to help etch

I need help. Going to wire up my ARB compressor and had some Q's. I'm installing it behind the rear seat and wanted to wire it up having the switch right next to the compressor so as I need to run it, I'll turn it on/off there. Can I wire it up just using the isolation switch connection without tying it into the ignition? There's a seperate wire for lighting the switch, which I don't care for, and one for the ignition.

Tying it to the ignition makes it so it can not be used while the truck is off (so as to not accidentally turn it on when not in use and burn out the compressor and kill the battery)

2nd option is to connect the 'ignition' wire to a wire that is always live. I would not do that, I installed it as the instructions said.

Yeah you can run it that way. Just pick up the wires ya need. As Wes said just make sure you don’t leave it on while the trucks off.

I would always know to run it with the truck on so no big deal there. So I still need to use the ignition wire as a supply, correct?

Hey no worries man. I now have to figure out which route to take and where to get the power. I love electrical stuff just not on cars. I think cars are such a pain in the ass with all the routing of wires behind and under stuff.
I'm almost tempted to just leave it under the hood because it's so much easier.

dude...i'm an electrician and I hate it lmao.

    auto electrical is a cunt.
and the methods are so different from AC wiring and code.

Take for instance switching grounds in DC. Would be like switching a neutral for a light which is against code for so many reasons.
DC you also need to consider distance much sooner. 15amps over 10 ft can change what size wire you run. vs CEC being 3% voltage drop every 100ft for feeds and 5% for anything else.
