I got a search link for the hash tags I use, it's very helpful.
A-A-ron is doing lca bushings or ball joints. I got the hefty Northern tool jack stands for when I pulled my front diff. I wanted something that I'd feel safer under the truck with.

 

I have several of the bigger jack stands they are a life saver! More height. Man if I knew he was doing that today I'd of lent him my balljoint press kit oh well

 

Tonight seems like a cut out some lower shock bolts kinda night.

 

Had my fun cutting this pin out this morning, cut each side of 1.5” pin then drilled out the right side, that chipped paint was a cotter pin that is corroded in the hole, drilled that out and still wouldn’t budge, burned all the paint off Friday heating with a torch, still no joy.

Lower shock bolt seized in shock. Not much space to work.

 

Well that's not good, why are you messing with them doing some maint? Pro tip anti-seize on the bolts won't allow them to seize to the bushing sleeves.

 

Because it needs done, been needing done, had to wait for ARB to get extra parts made and sent, then I moved.

 

Got the bolt to move without taking the LCA and shock off as one unit.. That's where the ease stops. The bolt is toast, so is the spherical bearing, and the reducers.

 

Man that was nasty. Anti seize the bolt and maybe try spraying the joint with that fld film stuff or something like wd40 to try and keep the water from corroding the bushing away.

Nice reclaim on those shocks. Cool that OME can get you those little odds and ends for them.

 

Thanks. OME has been great to deal with, they didn't have them in stock because they were new but as soon as they did they sent them out.

 

216096 miles actually got around to changing oil, put SOS Concepts fill plates in, fixed rear IFS skid plate bolts. Knocked off the "welded" nuts off and put a bolt/nut in place.

 

Winter time tear down inspect and fix before the wheeling season starts?
