Nice bikes! I need to hang in here more, the “all things bikes and tacos” thread is mostly mountain bikes.

I finally got around to getting all the dirt off from the winter.

 

I highly recommend the 12" progressive 444's for the rear suspension, they make a world of difference on rough roads and the added cornering clearance is decent.

 

Saw that you have them. Looks great. Totaled mine so I no longer have it, just fond memories and scars.

 

That sucks man, glad you're alright. Have you gotten back in the saddle yet since the accident?

 

Just to move a drunk guys bike. Nothing of my own yet until the project bike is under it's own power again.

'79 XS750. Debating starting a build thread, but I am documenting the process for my own records.

 

Still working on it. I got the rear fender one off. The forks, ill get tomorrow. The one under the rear frame rails is harder because its attached to a piece of plastic under the fender.

@Masshole19 i plan on getting a springer seat, and putting in 10" solid struts. But i did the DK Customs 2" tank lift and coil relocate. I have keyless, so no relocating the ignition

Seent it. I'm way too tall for that little guy. I sat on a Grom that was going to be an "impulse buy" and felt like I was dragging my balls on the rear wheel. Either way, I don't think I could ever come back down in CCs after my 1200.

 

*cough... you did cut up a relatively new Tacoma that cost a lot more than the 48.

My plan was to hardtail the Nightster too. Sportys just look right with rigid frames. Even thought about picking up an older sporty specifically for that purpose. There's one local to me:

Ha! Keep drinking dad! The 300’s tired, time for a rebuild. The 450’s street legal and super fun.

 

Nice, not really my style but that's the great thing about the sportster there's so much aftermarket support for it that you can build any style of bike you want easier than any other bike.
