    I think we are talking about different parts, the one SuperTan asked about is Part# RAM-B-238U, which has 2 thru holes.

    Oops, hole spacing wasn’t set for that style of mount but I guess we could make that change if desired. On my second gen , the simple male threads are rock solid so I didn’t even think about accommodating the wide base. I’ll look into it....

    I guess the next question is that ram mount is probably wider than the rail and will probably interfere with the rest of the dash. So never mind using that mount.

    Sorry to hear you were going through some stuff, but it looks like things are looking good. Thanks for taking the time to work out this product.

    EDIT: What RAM setup are you guys planning to use to secure your phone on this base plate? I’m thinking that you need the ball mount, connecting arm, and phone mount. Is that correct?
