ARB Recovery Point

Anybody have the front ARB Recovery Point?

Seems a lot more stout than the ones that replace the OEM hook.

Good god that is pricey

 

Has anyone ever broken the stock trd-or hook?

 

The problem is at that price point I’d rather just go with one of those mobtown recovery bars at like ~$300 and then have 2 recovery points. I guess if you had the ARB bumper that doesn’t utilize built in tow points then this would be the solution.

And if the price was like $150 maybe people would be all over it. I don’t see $260 there. The bummer is there isn’t many other options.

SOS has a nice one for a better price. Some of the others out there are too pricey as well.

 

SOS is sold out according to thei website.
Any other suggestions? I prefer strong over flashy and pretty.

Trust me, it won’t. It’s 1/2” steel that bolts on in 3 places.

Edit: and with no welds, all bent to shape. If something on that fails, then you’ve got bigger issues

 

OK. Maybe it’s just the lighting playing tricks, but it looks like two different types of metal.

 

Yeah I see what you mean, but it’s all one piece. If it were two then it could definitely fail

I suppose I’d pay that if I were stuck on a trail and needed to pull my truck out before winter. But damn.
