What have you done to your Tacoma today? 1st Gen Edition

Those numbers are what I will tell the tech that is doing the alignment but in relaity, they are ideals and probably not attainable exactly. What UCAs are you running?

 

1st gen tundras diffs front and rear are the same as a tacomas without an elocker.

Check your gear ratio though as some tundras had odd gearing and also some came with LSD.

TC. The reason I'm thinking 3-4 in castor is my buddy said that for his new 4Runner and it's stuck in my mind for some reason. So 0*,0*, and as much castor

 

Since we are talking about what we have done to Tacoma's here, and stupidity. Yesterday I reached through my open window to grab my keys and hit my face hard enough on my vent shade to break a chunk out of the middle lol

lucky for me the other side was already broken and I had already ordered a new set to replace them. so that's what's on the books for my afternoon....

 

It's amazing how much force we generate with our heads - I jumped on my friend's old pre-coma's hood when we were goofing around and he was driving up to me in the parking lot of our old apartment. My head went through his windshield and left a head-shaped dent... plenty of stupid to go around in here I guess

Right now it's just a one off piece because it is brutal to cut and clean. Once I get hight controll for the table I could bang them off like hot cakes. The file does need a little work still but that's the easy part.

 

What year Tacoma are you able to monitor the trans temp with a scan guage? Wondering if my T100 has the option or not.

 

Definitely looks a little wonky without any suspension components, but sounds like a fun project!

 

Could you do smaller similar things like keychains?

 

Yeah I tried to add controll arms but every time I did it looked even more bass ackwards. Maybe that will be a part of the revision of the file.

Yeah, that's it. FWIW, my camburgs dial in 2° of positive caster in their design. Pretty sure the TCs are the same. With 2.5" of lift, I am lucky to get 3° of caster out of the alignment. The most recent one is attached as a guide.

 

I’ve always had the lifetime alignment on my cars but I’ve never asked for specific numbers, I just go to the shop and say align it.

Are those numbers specific for aftermarket suspensions or larger tires?

 

Those are pretty big probably 5x2 or so yeah that wouldn't be to bad. I would have to make my own design (copyrights are a bitch)
