Thanks, they’re on the watch list, showing $223 now. Where’d you find $197 to match to?

    Damn that's a cheap price...I thot my 206 a tire was good.

Anyways it's almost impossible to find a used 255 as a spare. A TW memeber was nice enough to give me a free 285/70r17 for free.IMG_1975.jpg

Hey guys, for those of you with 255/85/16s or 285/75/16s, can you get a picture of how tight the tread pattern is? Maybe stick a finger in the lug for a picture or something? My neighbor just got these tires in a 295/something/R18 on his Chevy and I worry it will be too aggressive for my truck as the lugs are very far apart. I'm wanting to put the 255/85/16s on my (non Tacoma, sorry!) truck, but may have to step down to a 235/85/16 all terrain.

Now that these are broken in nicely, you can see some nice sidewall flex in this video on the front passenger tire. Been beating the shit out of these and I love them.

So have had the st maxxs on for about 300 Miles already had to warranty one tire because of vibration issues. The pattern vibration is gone but I am still getting a repetitive noise. Like there a hard spot on one spot of the tire. Any ideas? Or it is just the thread of the tire

Checked your wheel for flat spots? Maybe it didnt get balanced quite right? Those would be the first things I would check. Have you tried moving the culprit tire around the vehicle to see if the noise/vibration follows the tire? If not, maybe something else is causing the issue.

So they have balanced them 3 times now. But they just keep adding weights
No flat spots. Checked u joints and all noise and vibration didn’t happen until the new tires where put on.

Find a shop that does road force balancing unless a shop has already done so...

I went from 285 to 255. Not as nice looking as a wider tire, but they drive nicer. Especially last night on an unplowed highway.
