My 285/70/17 Falken Wildpeaks have less than 100 miles on em. I just cruised home from work in 2wd no problems at all. Turned on the 4x4 just to use it for a few miles, didn't even need it.

Agreed, I just used 4x4 to exercise it more than anything. Not to mention try out the new switch. I had a couple people ask me how my Toyota handles in the snow. I said flawlessly. Love it when it snows.

Hey all, just wondering if anyone lives in the city and owns a truck? I'm looking to buy a 2018 tacoma soon but would first love to hear some feedback or challenges regarding owning a truck in Chicago?

I figure parking garages might suck and street parking might be a challenge but I currently rent a place with a carport and intend to move to another place in the city with a garage/carport so that may not be too big of a deal.

I live in the city. No issues. I suggest a hard bed cover for securing items if you do so.

She actually like the truck, a lil taller to see than her car.

Would plates like the specialty ones work the same for parking/driving around purposes?

Are you a firefighter? I guess anyone can get those plates. I have them too but I am in the profession.

Anyone can get them....which is kinda messed up (no offense) the extra money you pay though goes towards the firefighter memorial downstate so I ain’t complaining....
