Pulled the trigger on a 2018 Sport..After 10yrs of being in the same truck, my daughter seriously texted me and said she is gonna cry when I get rid of the 08. My old one has made us so many memories as a family, has carried so many hundreds of wild game and spent countless miles traveling across the country in search of game....I chose the Sport, alot because of the lack of chrome, hood scoop, and knowing I don't wheel, or subject my truck to mudding, mostly dirt roads and occaisionally a small mud hole or 2...but for my budget, the suspension played 0 part in my decision, because the camper shell, suspension lift, wheels and tires are foremost in the list. Praying that this truck will bring me, my family, and hopefully grandchildren the same amount of dedication my 08 did. As much as people whine about the petty crap they aren't happy about on their Tacoma's, all in all, this is ultimately the best truck ever built, bar none. This will make my 6th, and the numbers will keep growing...the only problem I have with it, is it took me 10 years to get mine built to perfection is (in my eyes), and I want my new one done like that in 2 weeks.....dang TW....don't help much

    Here's to 10 more....cheers

May want to edit the “Pro” in the first line. Ha ha.

Depending on what condition the suspension lift is in, you could swap it to the new one. Save you some $$.

Two great looking rides. I just came out of a 2010 to a new 2017 and love it. Didn’t need a new truck but had 2to trade and had the fever. Happy with new and hope it makes as many memories as the old one.

Sorry guys and gals, slip of the finger. I know what I have, and bought....

    Fixed my slip up...
Yeah, thought on that, but want to spend more $$ on a better suspension. The older one made it 200k miles on a OME leaf pack and strut extensions....go figure.

Um nope....this ones getting sold, that $$ goes to a new camper shell, lift, wheels and tires, grill, floor mats, hid upgrades....and the list goes on....lol
She commutes to college 45 miles every day. She has a good economical car, when she graduates, she already has plans for a new access cab...

I am about to pull the trigger on a new TRD Sport myself. Curious, do you find the seating position low? Every Tacoma regardless of year I have been in felt that the seat was too low. Like sitting in a hole. Curious if you feel that way about your new one at all?

Yep. I even felt for a lever that raised the seat when I first got in. I'm 5'8" and still feel like I'm sitting on the floor, but the 08 wasn't much difference
