Leveling kit or lift kit?

I stand corrected my friends, I do have a spacer lift.

Doing it right the 1st time.

 

Here is what happens when you go cheep.

 

I actually installed the 3rd Gen 5100s all around and set the fronts on the 1.55" notch to level the truck. 20 miles later I figured out it rode like crap! SO stiff in the front end. After some research I was told the valving in the 5100s was basically the same as the stock Off Road's 4600s. So I took them off and put my stock coilovers back on with the 1" top mount spacer. It achieved exactly what I wanted...a better, taller stance with that soft stock ride. I would have put the spacer on the 5100s but since I was told they had only a 1/2" more travel and identical valving to the 4600s, I figured they were not worth it TO ME. Some folks mentioned using the 5100s with the 885 OME coils but I was told they would also be stiffer than the stock ride that I loved. Put on the setup that suits YOU AND YOUR DRIVING NEEDS and OWN IT! That's what I did...

WRONG! Same amount of lift but MUCH different ride than spacers. I did exactly what you quoted above and took them off 20 miles later. See my other post.

Im sure the ride is different than spacers. Better I would bet.
