Neither. I've only taken a few classes over the years but I'm working on changing that. I have 3 training modules in May coming up, really looking forward to it

Your own range is definitely a positive...unless you have cranky neighbors that call you in for noise complaint ;)

Only if you invite TW members to shoot. I volunteer to proof this land to keep others from having to take the time themselves.

Where is this plot, if close we can work something out.

Have some NFA, and my buddy has his FEL.

You have to drive an hour to your new range? Well, I've said this before... I am glad I live where I do. I can, and do, shoot from my kitchen window. :p But I also am glad that folks not as fortunate as I am can go somewhere and shoot.

My gun club is 45min away, and a nice complex, but only goes to 200yrd. I drive 3hrs to get to my buddy's land where the long guns can really stretch their legs. Have gongs out to 975. There is closer, but I'd have to pay. I like the private land mucho bettero.

We pushed the limits at a co-workers house, just on the outside of city limits in Texas. Neighbor still called us in for shooting automatics(bump firing actually) sheriff came out looked at our guns and said have a nice day ;)

I could shoot a half mile to my east and a mile to my west. And on my property. But I can't shoot for shit anymore. ;( And yes, I'm bragging now. But any upstanding TW members are welcome here, any time.

I got permission to shoot on a neighbors property. I have a 400yd target sitting straight across from my parking area. Hopefully if he ever sells the place the new neighbors will let me keep the target there but I'll cross that bridge when it happens ;) till then I'll enjoy the 400yd target :D

I hope it works out for you. I was thinking of deleting my post right after I posted it. Because bragging. That's not me, normally. But you quoted it, so... dangit!

@JimBeam I did the same thing, we were able to get 12 acres right now I've only got 50 yds. set up but it's going to be 100yds. by June(lots of trees)

@LocoLocal you should come see! And check out my 1911 while doing so;)IMG_20150405_215800_058.jpg

So does that count as a TW shooting range;)

As far as last 48 hrs...
300rds of 556, 300 rds 9mm, DVOR had 5.11 carriers on sale so grabbed 2, 550 plates and a new 3 mag attachment.

    :( :spending:
