Today I got my truck back from having the frame replaced and when I got it home I noticed the Tech had busted the back shock covers on both back shocks. Also when I turn the wheel it feels like it grabs when I'm turning left or right. My question is is it ok for the back shocks to have the covers busted like that? Will dirt get in there and wear them out quickly? I really am not super worried I'm sure my shocks need replaced just asking if they are ok like that for awhile. My air conditioner also didn't start working until it had been on 10 minutes or so but now it works so I guess that's alright. My biggest concern is the way it feels like its grabbing when turning left or right? Any thoughts or advice I appreciate.

The shock thing is kinda annoying. I can't remember if the stock shocks have wiper seals, pretty sure they do. So that 1st seal will wipe any dirt off before it enters into the shock and shocks are a consumable product.
If they swapped your frame they had to take off the lower control arm(LCA), rack and pinion so the alignment will be off.
Maybe some power steering fluid leaked out, rack and pinion not torqued properly, steering column hitting something from the swap?

When you are turning the steering wheel left or right are you moving or at a stop?

I'd take it back and complain about it to them.

Both. When I turn left or right and at a complete stop it feels like its rubbing against something. Do you think it just needs to be broken in?

I’d like to see some pics of the frame around the front end to see what all was replaced

...^^^... document EVERYTHING with photos and in writing and take it back to the dealer ASAP.

Have them fix each thing and check it off ... also ask them on how the warranty works on their work with old and new parts.

Good luck and this could get difficult ... blending old parts with new one.

Here's my update. I went to the dealership first thing this morning and asked to speak to the Service Advisor. We walked out to my truck and I pointed out the busted shock covers and also mentioned the steering was off. The Service Advisor told me to drive it in and went and got the Tech. Tech looks and says "Only Thing I Know To Do Is Replace Them.'' Next he says pop your hood and I showed him the rubbing when I turn the wheel. He said let me take it back and make an adjustment. So I go to waiting room to see what they decide about shocks and so he can adjust the steering. 10 minutes later Service Advisor says bring truck back we will replace the back shocks. Steering is fixed too. I am so relieved it worked out!! Wheww!!

It’s sad to see that dealership release your truck back to you in that condition in the first place. Glad they are fixing it for you OP.
