    Whole lotta stuff
I'm not adding any spacers. Another member was talking about adding spring seats and preload. There is also the variable weight of the truck in relation to preload. The purpose of a shock is for dampening, the coil spring rate and preload do nothing to dampen suspension. So it doesn't in fact "change" the tunning or valving of the shock. That's all dependent on the truck's mass in relation to how the suspension is cycling with CERTAIN off-road conditions. I always advocate using the correct length spring and rate to achieve the desired ride height and stiffness.

That's kinda what I was alluding to regarding a "different front end". The variable weight of the truck in relation to pre-load will most definitely come into play in CERTAIN conditions, as you suggest. I'm not in disagreement there.

Now Knowing the quality and ride of the Trd pro kit, I would still buy it at 1,000.

I hate being patient. I've got the Cougar in the shop getting some work done (I can't do bodywork), and I have the TRD Pro kit sitting on a shelf. I don't want to install the kit until I spring for new wheels/tires, so we'll so how long I can wait. Stupid me, I have a project car and now I'm starting down the road of project truck.

Could be worse. I have a project truck, house (in the middle of 4 major projects), project motorcycle and a project boat. I did recently finish my project rifle, so that's a win.
