I filled my Taco today for the first time. I drove home Saturday from NH to VT. I live in a very high elevation with a LOT of hills and averaged 22.3 MPG after 350 miles. I'm very happy with it.

    I didn't read this thread....

But I've found I get like 2 mpg better running at like 75-80 than 65-70ish...

It's hilly here and i think riding just a little bit higher in the rpms allows the truck to lugg it and make it up hill without having to shift, versus the truck having to down shift, floor the rpms and kill the mpgs

Yeah I live in California so the freeways aren’t typically flat. But I commute 30 miles each way on the freeway and I typically get 18mpg going 75. I’m running KO2s 275/70/16s.

Yeah, but relatively speaking, I live over 1,000 ft. Lots of going uphill and downhill.

hard to believe you get 2mpg MORE at 75-80 than at 65-70.....i have found that at 65 i get on average 25mpg and when i bump it up to 75, it goes to 22.8.....most will tell you the sweet spot is 55-65mph

Been averaging 17.5-18.5 here in town. Obviously goes down when I visit the folks (they're up in the hills west of Denver around 8500’)

18.6 running 75-80 between Oklahoma City and Tulsa. Long, steep grades. 16.2 with the cruise set at 75. I have quit using it. My 2014 Ram with the Hemi got 19.2 with the cruise. Same trip.

We went to Tulsa this week with the Honda CR V using the adaptive cruise control set at 83 (30.2). I needed to change lanes to pass a truck and their was nothing in the rear view mirrors. Then BAM, there was a third gen Tacoma Limited so close I couldn’t see his bumper. I moved over as soon as possible and he went out of sight. I was thinking he didn’t want it to gear down.

I just filled mine up the other day and checked it and I averaged less than 15 and that’s with 90% of it at 72mph I’m the interstate. Then, after I put gas in driving like a grandma in town I’m at just under 13. Completely stock other than one size up cooper stt pros. Just shy of 17k miles on the clock. I had the tsb done the other day for the plugs in the front control arms(front end made noise) and they checked and the trans was low on fluid a little.
