I installed the lift last Saturday. Just got my wheels and tires on today and aligned. I love the general springs. I’ve put around 350 miles on the new setup and love it.

I’ll have to measure again. I thought I had about 1.5” of rake. I was looking to keep the factory rake.

No they don't.. Best option would be Bilstein 5100's for those years

Well hell, I started to put my TRD Kit in today and decided to put the ECGS bushing in while I was at it....which is where things stalled. I can't get the damn axle out to save my soul. I've pushed and twisted and pried my ass off to no avail. So I went to Auto Zone to rent a slide hammer, except that they didn't have any jaws that would fit the flange. Very frustrating! Any ideas?

Use a l pry bar putting pressure on one side of the cv where it goes into the housing while at the same time prying from the other side,an extra set of hands would help.

Yes. If you look at the front diff there is some flat spots where you can use a large flat head screwdriver like a chisel and tap on it with a hammer. If you have a buddy have him pull on the rotor while you tap on the screwdriver in the flat tab on the diff. If it doesn’t come at first, push it back in to let off on the pressure and rotate the diff an 1/8 turn and repeat the process. I got lucky and it took about 2 minutes for the cv axle to come free. You don’t have to use a lot of force. I used about as much force as hammering a nail into a 2x4. When it’s positioned right, you will feel it coming free. Hope that makes sense.

Thanks for the tips guys! I'll try to do a little "hammering" tomorrow. I hadn't considered that option and I have my fingers crossed! I much prefer to get the bushing in while the tire is off and the shock assembly is out of the way.

Is the spacer necessary - it seems like there is plenty of slack in the lines without the spacer?

No clue if it truly ‘necessary.’ Theoretically the 5160 shocks allow for more travel which could put extra strain on the brake lines. :notsure:

It’s a Toyota designed/engineered kit. Toyota put extension brackets/spacers in the kit. I installed them. If you’d rather not install them, more power to ya.

Fair enough. I didn’t get any install instructions with mine so wasn’t sure if there were qualifications to installing it or not.

I haven’t seen or heard of anyone receiving instructions either. I know I didn’t. The instruction I provided, and used, I got from TW threads on this kit.

On the outside of the box my kit came in was a sticker that said the installation instructions were available online.

The instructions have been posted multiple times, between this thread and the one in the 3rd gen forum.

Unfortunately, you are a bit late to the party. The stock across the country seems to have dried up. There MAY be a few stragglers hanging around at a dealer somewhere across the country as some people posted as the supply was drying up that they found some kits in stock at a few dealers but those dealers refused to ship. You might find some one ebay as some people bought them for the purpose of reselling them to make a profit. I do not know if there is a way to search for existing kits that might be sitting on the shelf at a dealership somewhere, maybe someone else knows a way to search for that information. I suggested previously that it IF it were possible to locate a kit somewhere that a dealer did not want to ship someone might be able to find a TW member somewhere local to that dealer who would pick up and ship the kit but enough time has passed now that I doubt that is even possible. Subscribe to the parts for sale forum here on TW, one might come up for sale but if it does, it will certainly go quickly.

I keep on thinking about the reasons for this "blow-out" sale on the Pro suspension. Do you suppose shocks have a shelf life, as per Toyota's Q/A standards? Like maybe they had ~5000 sets in the warehouses that were manufactured in 2014-2015. Over the years, ~4500 sets were sold as upgrades/replacement parts. And now they're "expired" as far as Toyota is concerned?

So they liquidated the remaining ~500 sets. And now they'll have a new batch made for the warehouses for use as replacement parts? They can't just quit providing replacements for 3 year old trucks still under warranty.

    That's my best guess.

So I picked up the front needle bearing vibration as well. Anybody on here recommend a shop in the east bay area California that can install the replacement/upgrade? Also going to have an AAL added as well. Looking for a good shop that's not way overpriced!

I doubt it. Probably don’t want to pay bilstein and fox both.
