Side Step Rails - Used but they will be perfect for my 2012 Taco

 

This seems like a solution that's searching for a problem. Is there a common issue w/the OEM LCA's that I'm unaware of?

 

A lot of guys don't want to get new fenders for wider arms, but want the adjustability of a bypass - stop on over to the suspension / long travel forums - Total Chaos already makes some for 2nd gens.

 

I'll check it out. What's a "bypass" LCA? Thanks.

 

My bad - a bypass secondary shock for smoothing shock / coilover travel going over bumps in the desert.

 

Oh, gotcha. We don't have any go fast trails around here so I'm oblivious to all the Ivan Stewart type stuff. I did get to meet him at a Jambo we had, though! He was one of my idols as a kid. I spent a mint on his arcade game!

 

Just a quik question but I know answer might vary so this why I'm asking...
To those of you that trimmed your mudflaps how much did you take off front & rear???

 

I trimmed mine completely off! No more flaps! LOL!

 

Mine are off but thinking bout putting back on & was gonna trim before putting on

 

For really though - I debated, asked a ton of people and looked at a ton of pictures. Decided to remove and haven’t looked back!

 

They really need something about the size of what’s on a Honda Pilot.

 

I took 3.5 inches off of mine. I think that I should have started with 2.5 and tried that first. I live in Canada so it would keep some of the slush from building up on the sidesteps.

 

Is that 3.5 front & back? Just wondering if there was a difference from front to rear?

 

Oh, sorry. I should have mentioned, I trimmed just the front ones. I only had trouble with them prior to trimming.

 

I've already got one with 3 mounting holes. Picked it up of CL a few years back. I like the Hellas you've got. I've been considering swapping the bar for 3 of those. I rarely get to use my light bar because its illegal to use it on public roads (for good reason) where I live.

 

I bought mine in the middle of October with about 22k on it, and I just rolled over 29k. Loving every mile.
