I did end up drilling and aligning the driver side as well. From what others said about the high beam housing not being so dependent on bulb position they may have been fine as they were. I, coming from a machine shop background, am probably more anal about such things. I am the same way when I edge my yard. You can use a go-nogo gauge in my 0.968" wide edge gap anywhere in my yard. I can say that I am tickled pink with my lighting. From reviews I may not need to add resistors to the front signal lights. I am glad I waited so long to get my headlights. Just didn't want to jump earlier on the led bandwagon because reviews for previous bulbs have been inconsistent. Seems like Hikari was a good choice. When I figure out which bulbs to put in the tail lights I will probably just buy a set of 4 resistors (2 front and 2 rear) just to be on the safe side. Still contemplating the brake and turn mod but may wait until my bumper to bumper 3 year warranty runs out after xmas. Is there a running consensus for led rear brake and rear signal bulbs. I already have great reverse bulbs.
Looking at my posted pictures I just noticed that my me-so ultimate mirror turn signal lights are overwhelmed with the new front lights. Still digging the stealth look of those.
PS I do have Amazon prime and some of my purchases take from 3 to as much as 5 days. Most are 2 days.

Yea, been a prime member for a number of years. We spend a lot of money there too. We work so much that going into stores is out of the question 99% of the time.

About 2 years ago, nearly about the same time they raised the price, that's when the shipping times started to go to shit. Sad part is, because there's a center here in Maryland now, I have to pay 6% sales tax too.

What really sux is, where I live, it's horse, soy and corn farms, so more than not, our shipments get handed off to the USPS. Up here unless the UPS drops off on day 1 of the shipping timeframe no way am I getting anything on day 2.

I ordered those Morimoto fogs on Saturday night, and got em' Wednesday. Of course they are in Georgia. Not that far from Maryland.

I'm kinda use to the inadequacy but it still pisses me off. And if ya haven't noticed, I tend to run on a bit. That means I'm very Pro review, including how shipping is. So one day late, EEEEH [buzzer sound], I will rip them a new A hole. I'll leave resounding reviews if they deserve it but you better not cross me or else.

I've already contacted The Retro Source about forgetting to put my Swag (decal) in the box like the description claims. Have not heard back. I'll give them until tomorrow then I'll contact them again. I'm sur e they're busy but........

I used Diode Dynamics bulbs for all four of my 7443 tail lights. Highly recommend them! Very good quality and good customer service too (I had a bad Turn-as-Tail module which they quickly replaced). I bought the middle option (the HP11) which is definitely brighter than the stock bulbs by a long shot. I can't imagine how much brighter their XP80's would be, but someone did buy them for his tinted tail lights with good results. You will need a resistor for these tho.

If you're up for it and don't might doing a couple more splices, I'd recommend doing the Turn as Tail mod. It's not my video, but you can see how the entire tail light is now both the brake light AND the turn signal (on the driver's side). To me, the stock operation (on the passenger side tail light) is just a confusing mess. LOL You can't do this mod unless you are using all LEDs in your tail lights tho.

I think you meant @RobP62...he just bought the Hikari's. I will definitely be getting some, I just want to get a little more use out of my new HIDs for a bit longer so I'm going to probably wait until after I move this summer. But once I do, I do plan on drilling/adjusting the angle of the ones I put in my HBs.

Yea, I will most definitely be making that adjustment @mrproduxn did when I get the Hikari's for the high beams. Seems like a reasonable trade off. Unless if by then there is a better proven option that's LED.

Ahh you're right...I wan't thinking and you both have the same Inferno colored profile image (when it pops up real small when tagging someone)....anyways, I got lazy but now I'm think I can't be left behind or appear clueless if someone that knows these things walks past my vehicle and then sees that...

If you only do front signals (I did yesterday), resistors weren't needed, but I think as soon as you do rear AND front, then "I heard" resistors all around but I can't validate that without testing. I know the rear's for sure regardless. Here is the thread that has some links to good bulbs and info on the resistor issue you brought up (with links to resistors).

Once you see that video, you can't un-see how silly the factory brake & turn signal setup is. It drove me nuts everytime I was behind a 3rd gen Tacoma (and I see a LOT of them on this island)!

Luckily, it's actually a fairly cheap mod. You just need 4 LEDs and 2 resistors in the tail lights (which you were going to to anyways ;) ) along with a pair of DIY Turn as Tail modules from Diode Dynamics (or also available in Amazon). Maybe some silicone too or something to help prevent any issues from the elements. That's it!

It's totally worth it and because it won't work with the halogen bulbs (they pull too much current so the fuses blow...don't ask how I know), that gives you even more jusification as to why you need more LEDs!!!!!!!!!! :taco:

Just make sure you get 9 or 10 ohm resistors (not the typical 5 ohms). Not everyone was getting hyperflashing issues, but some were until they got up to that value. So far, no one has had any issues with 9 or 10 ohms.
