So, besides the 285's (tires), I thought that my truck was stock. I went to the dealer yesterday to get a road force balance and while waiting, I looked at another 2015 Off Road that they had for sale. I noticed that it was very low compared to mine (even if I didn't have the 285's). I looked underneath and the springs were on the axle. Mine has a 2" block between the springs and axle. So a 2" lift in the rear? However, I don't see anything different in the front, but my front is level with the back. Here are some pictures (next post)

Blocks may be there in the rear because of flat springs. Was the truck previously owned?

That is a Bilstein 5100 adjustable shock in front that is capable of a 2.5” lift.

The back is definitely lifted with the blocks.

Yes, it was previously owned. They aren't as flat as they appear, I have looked at other stock ones and they seem to be about the same.

I am pretty sure that they are stock shocks, not 5100's

You are lifted 2 inch block in the back, front Bilstein 5100 shocks are more than likely set on the highest lift at 1.75-2.5 inch setting

Fronts are definitely 5100s if they were stock, theyd be matching yellow like the 4600s out back

On a side note, your truck looks good with that tire size.

Well damn, I just went outside and looked and ya'll are right! My rear, the ones that I really looked at (awhile back) are stock, but the fronts are adjustable. So are the 5100's the only ones that are adjustable by Bilstein? It seems like they are at the highest setting (I see two snap ring grooves, so I am guess it is using the third)

Ok, so now that I know that it has a lift, I heard that blocks in the back is the least desireable way to lift the rear. What are the negatives to having it that way. I do go off road, but not like serious rock crawling or anything.

Most common problem is axle wrap. When coming to a stop, youll feel a slight clunk/thud like someone is hitting you from behind.

The other thing is that it rides harsher than if you were to go with a 3 leaf progressive add a leaf, for example

An easy way to see what groove it's in (there's four; 1st is stock height, 2nd is .85" lift, 3rd is 1.75" lift, and 4th is 2.5" lift) is to measure from the center of the hub to the bottom of your fender flare. The stock height on these trucks from center of hub to bottom of flare is about 20"

I'm thinking its on the 3rd notch, giving you 1.75 inches of lift.

I haven't felt the "clunk/thud". But the ride is pretty rough, just thought it was because it was a truck. I wonder if it will affect my towing, vs being stock

Shouldn't affect towing any because its just the stock leaf packs with blocks under them, so you'll still get the sag whenever you hook up your trailer. Add a leafs help prevent that though and they should ride better than blocks.
