    @fatfurious2

    There's nothing quite so unnerving as that muddy water creeping up your leg towards the seats and your only pair of underwear for the weekend, isn't It?

    I especially like the one guy pulling you out, then the swarm of 20 people checking out the water in your cab. Classic!

    Should I remove spare tire when off roading?? Thinking about getting full size spare and a roof rack since its the only spot to put it. Will have too much cargo to fit spare in 5' bed.

    Depends on how hardcore you are going to get with it. I still have my spare under the truck. Have hit it a little a couple of times but nothing major. Getting a spare from the roof and on the roof just seems like such a PITA. If you still have your hitch look at the hitch mount tire carriers. there is one that folds down and I think one that swings out of the way.

    Throw it in the bed of your truck. If (hopefully you don't) you get a flat it's easier to get to. You won't be crawling in the dirt for it and it won't be covered in mud. Just find a way to strap her down.

    Edit: Nevermind. Saw you gots no room in the bed. Hitch mount might kill you departure angle. Bed bars might be you best option.

    Bed bars could be an option also.

    custom car grill, KORE sliders, light bar, KORE bed bars w/ tire and high lift mount. MOBTOWN front IFS skid.
    I bounced this idea off him but his tonneau cover is a necessity for securing his bed contents.

    As much as I would love to do a bed rack, hitch mount or swingout bumper I dont want to lose rear visibilty, increase in length of truck and loading large items into bed. Roof is only option, not worried about height. Rarely go into parking garages.

    Had mine on the roof. Pain in the ass to take it off a heavy tire especially on a wet trail.

    My bed only has a cover so
    How much higher is the truck with the tire and rack?

    Less than 7ft. I just avoided parking garages. You can modify the spare tire carrier to accommodate bigger tires. Also the trie takes up so much room that you don't have space to really put anything else up on the roof rack.

    I would. Like @El Dahs said, if you’re in a scenario where you get a flat, it may be hard or downright impossible to get that spare out from under there. Plus it’s all muddy.
