There is an up and coming group in the springs that is doing more trails on Facebook than here

Yeah I’m in that group. They are definitely active. Too bad they are all the way down in the springs.

It’s not that bad of a drive. But deffinatly not as organized as some of the runs planed here.

Last time I went with them no trail coms and the “leader” was navigating off his 2016 stock truck nav

No comms and no nav? Had they even run the trail before? Did anyone even have recovery gear (pot calling kettle black in my case)? Haha!

I don’t think he did. But I had all my gear, and at least one other truck had a winch, strap. And someone had maxtrax.

Granted when I was with them it was all easy dirt trails. But no one had sliders. And at least half trucks were turd gens

I'm in Thornton, near 136th and Colorado. 12 years ago I picked this neighborhood because it was an easy commute to downtown Denver. But after all the growth up north the commute started to really suck, so now I work from home and only trek to Denver when I have to. I'd rather be in the mountains than living in the burbs, but I'm stuck here for now and the NE metro area is underrated, IMO.

Ahh ok. Yea the exploring we’ve done in that area I like it. Wife has multiple friends scattered around Denver metro. Arvada, Broomfield, Denver proper, and Aurora. So aside from us seeing other places during our many travels up there, we’ve gotten good looks at a few cities due to those folks living there. I like the firestone, brighton and fort lupton circle if I could call it that.

    :D

Firestone is a good little town, still close enough to Denver but far enough away

That’s how we are now. Our little town has everything we need and is pretty small and really nice. Only venture into big city if we absolutely have to.

    Firestone sucks.
    Commerce city is very nice.
Scratch that. All of Colorado sucks.
Except maybe Pueblo. Pueblo is ok I guess.
