Finally a day to myself after working 6 days straight 10 hr days..Pumped to do electrical things today open garage an BAM cold wind smacked the crap outta me back inside for coffee an making breakfast tacos will try again @9.

I feel you man! Hang in there! We all have those moments when supervising a crew/team. Just this week I had a mechanical contractor bring a ladder onsite that was not tagged properly and needed to be taken out of service as it was extremely unsafe and worn out (10' ladder). I told them them to tag it and remove it from the jobsite by the end of the day. What do I see when I get back from lunch? A guy on the very top step of this ladder!!! Upon him seeing me he knew he was toast. After he came down I laid into him about how unsafe that was and that I told his entire crew to take that ladder out of service. That worker and that ladder were immediately escorted off my jobsite. My foreman did one better by tossing the ladder in the dumpster. I don't like yelling at anybody but I do not play when it comes to safety and do not tolerate people not following my jobsite rules. Hell at my job-wide safety meeting on Wednesday the topic was " LADDER SAFETY" !!!!!! The rest of that crew have never seen that side of me but they got the big picture really quick just like you that I have not problem doing that when its necessary.

OK, I'm still employed. Someone else is cleaning the fan. Kudos being given to me through my leadership for refusing to yield.

I'm sad that I don't get to call DVA, AMVETS, CNN, CDC, FCC, or the Wu Tang Clan to narc a bitch out. They instead got the gist quickly regarding why no one was willing to approve the connections for legal and technical security reasons. We are re-engineering the circuits now.

Tonight, the scotch will flow. I have earned my pay.

2 more hours at work, then time to head home shower, and embark towards MOAB! Both excited and scared. It's gonna be a loooong 2 hours.

 

Decided to head there next week. Going to be in colorado but figured whats another 4 hours to go check out arches and moab for a day or two. Super pumped
