There is alot going on with that build. Im not a huge fan of some things. Hardtail wouldn't be in my scope, if I was buying that

Yeah there’s a few things I’m not crazy about aesthetically, but the work looks solid. You can tell he put a lot of care into it. It’d almost be a shame to cut it up.

How’d you like those shocks on the CB? Those the eBay knock offs? (RFY, I believe). Heard good things but the usually arrive charged unevenly. There used to be a guy on a cafe forum that would rebuild them on the cheap.

Considering them for the Yamaha, factoring in an immediate rebuild. That or Hagon.

I decided im going to get the LAF exhaust. Dont want to spend 700+ on an exhaust. If i didnt want the Kinetic Lateral exhaust, I would have thought about the V&H big radius like I had on my nightster. But I already had that, and even though they were fine, just dont want to go the same route and get the same thing.

Also found out that Figure Machine went out of business. They made good products and were local to me. Kinda sucks. Now whats left is Arlen Ness, V&H, and RSD. Or ebay/chinese copies which are junk. Gotta figure out what I want to do for an intake.

Going to go with V&H FP3 for a tuner. They are so simple to use/install! It won't have my exact exhaust, but it can auto tune, which can be helpful.

Maybe i need to make a build thread for this bike :anonymous: . Although after this, ill probably only do handlebars and then just enjoy it

    makes sense.

Well I was going to get supporting mods first, but then I looked at the exhaust again, and the price dropped $25. So Im going to buy it today. Wasnt planning on it :frusty:

Then I will stop. Gotta give some love to the truck too.

    It's got some Mods
Whats up fellas! Riding season is finally about here in the PNW. I'm finding that the older I get the more of a sissy/fair weather rider I am becoming! Anyways, here are a few pics of a project dyna I picked up back in early December.

The day I brought it home. The previous owner thought it would be cool to turn it into a rat bike of sorts and took an angle grinder with what I'm guessing was a grinding disk to the front and rear fenders. He also wrapped a bunch of the chrome in exhaust tape or something similar. The goal is to clean it all up and turn this into my wife's bike so we can get rid of her VTX 1300

Here she is a few days later as I started stripping it down. I had to replaced the front fender, somehow salvage and repaint the rear fender, replace the handlebars, risers, grips, and all the cables, replace the seat, and rewire and replace all the rear lighting as well as relocate the license plate and brake light. That is the plan for now anyways.

How it currently sits. New cables should come in the mail any day now!

Just for the hell of it here is my old '01 sportster. Man I miss that thing!

    And my current Road King:

I still need EAF points.. have so many plans. 35s are almost all here. Actually speaking of that, I think I should wait on the exhaust, because I need to buy 2 more tires next week.

I sold my bedslide. Want to build drawers. Probably at end of summer or on a rainy day. I still have plans for the truck, since now I cant use it for original purpose of hauling bikes hah. The Z125 without mirrors doesnt even fit under the cage

yeah thats what im trying to avoid too. the grom is perfect for still fitting in the bed as a truck bike. so i dont want a bed rack, been debating soft topper or something though. i think itd fit under there and keep gear dry. but im also not sure how itd look against my tiregate

I could probably fit the bike on an extension, and one of those dirtbike mounts. (but not sure if you saw, Z125 is for sale). You could too
