Ok, can someone explain this to me, they suspended these guys because they responded without permission? Kids were being shot for christ sakes!!!! How does this even make sense? Granted they are suspended from the SWAT team only but why? I understand totally that there are rules and policy which is all well and good, reprimand them maybe, but suspension? Nope.
Meanwhile the guys that didnt go inside are not being punished, that I have seen. To much WTF here.

I saw that on the live news feed and was kinda curious. Heavy enough for 2 guys to carry, but they didn't leave in a hurry o_O and the driver throwing clothes out the window....

The article pretty much said why. For one, they didn't inform anyone they were going to the scene...which would be a safety issue. Accountability of all known individuals with firearms on scene is necessary.
Secondly, the SWAT team they were on wasn't even from the same city, the article said, "the Broward Sheriff’s Office told the news outlet Wednesday that it could not confirm whether anyone contacted the Miramar department on the day of the shooting, but said Miramar’s SWAT team was “not needed.”

While heroic in gesture, they weren't following protocol and could have been "part of the problem" when the chaos was going on. Although, I agree...should they have been suspended? No.

That town has some serious issues...they seem like they are worried more about their reputation than kids being killed...SMH!

A third SWAT member, Officer Kevin Gonzalez, was suspended for violating the department’s social media policy after he was accused of being linked to posts that “put the city and police in a negative light,” the Florida Sun-Sentinel reported.

That kind of stuff is ridiculous...I could see if the swat team was responding to a domestic violence call...that would be excessive and not needed...But where there is a shooter involved shooting in a school or where ever...who cares where response comes from! Im sure the parents of the kids didnt care SWAT responded to help their children!

Wouldn't that be tampering with evidence? Save the living, preserve and document everything else.
