Mailman found my package...in his Jeep. (There's the problem) He had it yesterday but didnt want to get out of the jeep because he was running late.

I guess a bad excuse is better than no excuse

Finally got off my ass and did the best mod.

What fasteners did you use? I have a bottle opener but haven't started the search for hardware to mount it.

 

Just went to a local hardware store and got some M6-1.00 x 25 button head cap screws and nylock nuts. Thought about going stainless but the black matches better and it'll rust like the rest of the hardware in the bed.

As a side note, 25 was way overkill, you could probably get away with 10s.

 

Why not self-tappers?

 

Cause self tapping 1/8th thick plate is for scrubs. No engineering like over engineering.
