I can't find the thread where that rule is established. I searched for it. You know where it is?

Ah hell with it, let's disarm the LE agencies.. it works absolutely fine for England.. I mean, soccer riots where a few are killed and a few hundred badly injured, that's nothing a few good trips and Chuck Norris-like round house kicks won't solve. :D

The kid survived, he's still an a-hole and I bet he never does it again. Oh and I bet he also doesn't give a cop shit when he gets pulled over in 3 months for a DWI :)

One question I did have, how did we go from a LEO tasing someone who is forcibly resisting arrest (i.e. running from the officer, refusing to stop, etc. etc.) to a LEO tasing someone they are questioning in say.. a traffic stop? "License and registration or you WILL be tased!" *BZZZT* "AHHHH! Don't tase me Bro!"

Wow I missed alot today! Anyway, This kind of thinking that tigerfan is stating right here basically proves my point. Everyone's a threat, and guilty untill proven innocent. How the hell is that American? We have surely lost our way America, and this whole thread is proof. He exemplifies what I mean about a POLICE STATE. He is a LEO from what I have read and most people on here take the same oppinion as him. Why wouldnt you? I mean, I dont blame you, after all its what you have been socialized your whole life in to believing that this is the right way. When the truth is, this kind of thinking is exactly what will bring about communism to this country without anybody even noticing it! Thats how its been done for hundreds of years, the ones in power slowly convince you to sacrifice your rights and freedoms for Security. Then, before you know it, you are living in a facist dictatorship and people will say "oh well we aren't a free nation anymore but at least we dont have to worry about anything bad happening to us because the government will take care of us! WOW! the elietists of the world sure have done a great job brainwashing the lot of you.

I am sure for most of you, what I said here flew right over your heads, as it is not taught in the "New America" anymore so I dont blame you. But have fun with your security people because according to this thread you wont be needing your freedom any longer............

I get your point. But I sincerely hope that you don't think all LEOs think that way (I doubt you do).

No...This isn't what will bring about communism. The facts are these: 1. There are rules (laws) people are supposed to follow. 2. If you break these laws, you will be punished.

The idiot broke the rules and got punished for it. Don't wanna be punished? Don't break the laws. It's that simple. I'm not sure how that constitutes communism, but whatever you wanna think, I guess.

You are right about one thing: America has lost it's way. Basically because of people that think they can do whatever the frig they want and not have consequences. That all starts at home. If kids were raised the way they used to be and punished when they did things wrong - and by punished I mean whipped, not this pussy time-out crap - maybe they would think about the consequences of their actions before they decided to do stupid crap. Then again, there are some people that are just plain retarded and do whatever they want anyway, and they deserve all the punishment they get.

i think you misunderstood my point there

im not saying everyone is guilty...in fact most people i talk to are not...however in todays world whether you like it or not or want to believe it or not...as fucked up as people are...for my safety and the safety of anyone around me...everyone is a potential threat...be it because theyre on drugs or armed and waiting for their chance to flee or what have you

me being alert and treating everyone as a potential threat does nothing to "sacrifice your rights or freedom" as you so kindly put it

if i went around and drew my gun at every traffic stop or handcuffed every single person i talked to then maybe youd have a point...but in this line of work there are too many people who want to cause harm to me or others for me to NOT be alert and ready for anyone i make contact with to attempt to cause me harm

Are you really as friggin stupid as you sound.. No idiot it wasn't a question, it was a statement. Your the type of dick head that would believe some guy who murdered his girlfriends family and now we should coddle the sumbitch cause he was fondled or watched violent movies on TV.
Get real or shut the f up. You would watch someone do something illegal and want the law to protect the asshole till some court had the chance to try him. And then because the court screwed up you would be wetting yourself that he got off on some technicality.
You ain't got the sense God gave you.

    Wow...

America is a nation of laws, not men...I feel lucky that we have the justice system that we have. Sounds like you don't respect our system.

Your right. He broke the law... get it...
He felt he didn't need to comply with the laws that our nation established so that we might have some order... get it....
He was apprehended using a method that minimized hazard to those around him.... get it...
Now, he will be charged... prosecuted if necessary... and pay the appropriate penalties... get it...
He can decide if he wants to follow the rules and we get to watch his stupid ass over and over on the internet... we get it!

Thank you, but I do. You've been yanking yourself all day, and now you want us to have to put up with it. I've read enough of your drivel. I'm sorry you can't learn to accept that their are consequences for ignoring the rules. You are above it, I get it....
Just don't waste your time trying to convince the rest of us were wrong.

No I do not think that all LEO's are that way, in fact i have a couple in my family and they are very carefull of stepping on the peoples rights. It just depends on person to person a lot of times.

Pretty much everyone on the Phyllies is a millionaire, you gotta do what it takes to protect your players.

Let's not forget about that crazy fan who ran on the court and stabbed Monica Seles

....and theres your sign. Proof again to my point. You didnt hear a damn thing I said did you? Then again, I dont expect you to. Ignorant people deserve whats comming to them when the information is out there, and they refuse to see it.

and no I am not the kind of guy that you so named. I actually agree with you THE KID BROKE THE LAW understood. You just missed my point, I believe it was ECCESSIVE FORCE. The kind of force our forefathers would not tolerate and did not have in mind when they built this great nation. Yes the kid is an idiot and this kind of behavior should not be tolerated i.e. do what you have always done and tackle the guy. This method had worked for years upon years and I see no reason to change. Like I said earlier, when the american people accept this kind of Police Force they will get what is comming to them. Next time it will be in the form of "legal" tyrany.

....and for the record I am the type of person who believes that they made a big mistake when they got rid of corpral punishment in the school system because the parents sure aren't doing the job nowdays!

....I know... your getting frustrated now, you cant figure me out,.... like I said its age old stuff here, they just dont teach it anymore.

Can't believe I just read all 14 pages...
As soon as that kid stepped on the field he lost his privileges as a law biding citizen and became a criminal that disobeyed a direct order from a cop, the cop felt that tasing was the best solution for the event.
All this stuff about how America used to be and how its now, WOW... I agree that our current state is quite more aggresive and violence prone than yester years, However I in no way agree that how our forefathers dealt with criminals of any kind was less harsh than those of today. I would actually completely disagree and say that punishments were given out more frequently and more forcefully. With hangings public lashings, ppeople now adays do more hanis crimes and get less punishment.

I'm done and will not change anyones mind on here, but remember these officers are riisking their lives on a daily basis and make very little money doing so, so please show them the respect they deserve
