been mentioned in multiple threads ~1500-2000 miles, roughly....however is it learning or do you learn to adjust for its quirkyness?

I’ve heard this “it leans your driving habit” thing numerous times but I think it’s all BS. As far as I can tell my truck shifts the same as it did on day one and I certainly haven’t seen any different mileage figures.

There may be some small amount of learning that it does but I wouldn’t expect anything significantly different than what you’ve got now

Agreed. A computer can change shift points. It can NOT change gear ratios.

What issues are you having OP?

Not sure that it learns, I think it does what it’s programmed to do because that gives dealers and manufacturers stability when determining issues or in certain circumstances, legality in court if something catastrophic happened. What I do know for a fact is that a brand new car “opens up” and becomes more responsive (feels quicker) after a couple thousand miles.

A hand full of times in the 600 miles I put on the new truck I feel a hard downshift. I have read on here that it goes way after the transmission learning is done. Yes the transmission is is full checked it my self with the truck at the right temp 93-113. I only feel it do hard down shift when cold but when it’s at running temp I can still fell it slightly if I am really looking for it. And I also got that annoying noise by they front right speaker. What the best way to fix that.

I think it may be the driver learning how to feather the throttle. I noticed it to be too high and stiff feeling when I first got the truck.
