Transmission leaking fluid!!! FML

So went mudding the other night and next morning went to the gas station and noticed I was leaking transmission fluid on my 2006 DBL Cab TRD Sport. So me and my neighbor pulled the tranny and replaced the front pump seal (because it was leaking from the front of the tranny vent, right above the oil pan) and just went and test drove it and it's still leaking from the same effin spot. He and I thought that since it wasn't leaking from the rear that that's the only thing that it might be. Anyone have any suggestions????

 

Drain plug washer? if its the same as the oil washers they are supposedly crap

 

I'm not sure but dont you have to take it to a stealership to make sure you have the right amount of tranny fluid in it?

 

Nah it's leaking from what appears to be a vent with a black plastic piece, the drain plug is dry as a bone. It only leaks when the truck is running so thats why we thought it was the front pump seal. I am clueless but I do know that was a bitch to get apart and it still leaks, fuuuuck.

 

True WW, but the kicker is, my grandmother's neighbor is a mechanic at the local Toyota stealership and that's who helped me take it out lol

Theres only a few places it could leak.. Unless your trans is cracked.
