First attempt I was in 4 high in first gear, but after that in 4 low. The reason I was in 4 high was because I wanted to gain momentum, but it didn't work.

So when you tune, the ETC still makes things better than tuned? I often wondered if something like the OV tune, or ShiftSense Pro would still benefit from ETC mode or get worse

Ok so I did the tune today and here is my opinion. Tune definitely makes the truck drive a little better with 35's, but it is no substitute for 4.88 gears. It drives better than stock, but power is still lacklustre. So, it looks like I will have to install 4.88 gears IF I want better driveability from this truck

Did you try with ECT on?

Yes I did. It is better with ECT on, but doesn't have enough pull. In ECT mode it it seems like it will hold the gear for longer and engine revs higher. I was avoiding to do gears and hoping that tune will fix it, but I guess not.

Edit: Man the more I drive this truck, more I wish they had v8 in it. Don' get me wrong my daily driver is Prius, but this truck is too big to be v6.

I have 37’s, auto, 4.88’s, and the tune.

It’s makes a good difference in power. Shifting still sucks. The tune definitely didn’t make as big of an improvement as the gears did.

Mine has less than 3” and 37’s.

Just got my gears back from R.E.M. Coating so I'll be getting them installed soon. After the new OV tune update I've been pretty sarisfised with the droveability. I just hate the gas milage(99% of my driving is in town). Hoping the gears will give me a few more mpg back and a little more response off the line.

Been driving the truck around since this morning and truck definitely feels better, especially with ECT. After I'm done this tank of 87 octane, I will be switching to 91. I did notice that MPG dropped to 12.7 lol...oh well cost of going 35's. I will be calling ECGS soon to see if they got these things in stock :fingerscrossed:

Just installed my 35s yesterday. So far I don't notice a huge power loss from the 33s, even while towing. IMG_0426.jpgIMG_0419.jpg
