I was looking into that but like Eatsleeptaco said it may become an issue when off roading. My buddy has a rack sitting unused so will ask if my tire fits and wants to sell.

I know you are worried about the length of the truck but I would seriously look at the hitch mounted ones. You really don't loose a whole lot of visibility. Here is a swingout style. I know a guy who just ordered it once he gets it I can let you know how he likes it and the visibility. From what others have said the reality of under the truck or on the roof are not fun choices.

Pimpin ain't easy but someone's gotta do it. I love mine, have had it for 2 years without issue. Have to relocate the License Plate, and the camera but that was very easy. Even for someone like me with zero handyman skills or tools.

How much does it stick out from the rear bumper?? Idk maybe I will look into something like this eventually, it has a 3-4 week lead time and I'm heading up my friends house next week anyway. Think I will just roll with the roof rack this year.

So I've been thinking about it and I really only have 3 options, need to make decision by Thursday. Roof rack, stuffing full size under bed or hitch mount. Bed bars is out of the question, just won't work for what I need.

    Roof rack
Rack with attachments like hi lift, shovel - $200-$400
    Crossbars - $200
Tire carrier, rack lock - $150
    Total - $550-$750
Needed more stuff than I thought and more permanent than hitch

    Hitch mount
Wilco + Plate Kit - $732 with shipping

Easy to disassemble, used for off road and meet up trips only

    Under bed
Take a hammer and beat it until it does what you want

You mentioned not fitting it in the bed, but how come you can't?

Probably will have too much stuff back there. If I go solo then throwing it in the bed should work but if a couple friends tag along than no way.

I carry a spare under the bed, a little BFH work and a 33 will fit nicely under there.

No no my solution needs to be much more expensive and time consuming.

If your spare is under the bed at Rausch and you’ve got a flat you’re going to be hating life.

    Okay.

Drive to my shop in Chester.

    Pay me $400

I'll get the BFH out and make your spare fit.

You can clean out the shop while I do that.

    :)

Hey Tim, if you don't mind, why did you chose to use OME front and Toytec rear? Just curious.
aaand, how does the set up ride and behave on road?
