They never asked but part of the cancellation email stated I would have to provide a VIN. Not worth the trouble to me. I feel sure they could go through the Toyota system and check a VIN and see who the owner is.

I just installed my '18 Grill with garnish and didn't use these. It appears to just snap into place. Did anyone use these?

My 18 Garnish wiggles in the grill slightly. I didn’t use the fasteners and didn’t notice how they would work. Anyone have pics? I just popped it in and then used the 3 screws and the two square slip on nuts to secure the radar unit

There are clips that hold it in, but with out the fasteners there is nothing to keep it there. I am guessing it won't fall out, but you could probably hit a bump just right and dislodge it. For .50 it is worth the peace of mind to not have to spend another $50 to replace it.

I installed mine yesterday in my garage during the snow storm. Used my 2016/17 Pro grille with a garnish from Camelback. The angle of my photo makes the garnish look shiny but it mostly does not show. And it works perfectly.
The garnish is NOT glass, it’s plastic. See my photos in #51 above

Just ordered the starlock fasteners. Does anyone have the part # for the shorter pop rivet located on the lower left and right in this photo? When I popped out my right one it fell and I lost it.

Nevermind I think I answered my own question. Luckily Toyota uses the same parts on all of their cars, makes it easy. This appears to be the part, I'll confirm once I receive it.

Shorter pop rivet (lower) Part #

I just had my order cancelled as well from Toyota of Dallas - Does anyone have a source to order where a VIN number would not be needed to complete the purchase?

Conicelli Toyota. There’s a field for VIN...I left it blank. They confirmed my order but the grille and garnish are on backorder...will ship when in.

The stock one will work but has to be routed in a way that you can see the harness through the grill. I ordered the 18 harness and I'm installing it today.

For me it's not visible (to me) but the cable barely reaches so I might order the new harness.

Did the harness come with the zip ties with the little rubber notches that click into the grill already?

According to my dealership you can’t get a pro grill with a 2018 because “the 2018 pros don’t have TSS and you’ll have to turn it off if you want a pro grill” guess who’s gonna order from a different dealership and then show up to show them they’re wrong lol
