getting dealer installed heated seats up in my 17 trd sport. Has anyone else gotten them installed from the dealer and do you know if they’re the ones that have the digital display controls or the cheap $50 eBay ones

All depends on dealer and whom they use as their supplier. Lot of times they send it out to local custom shop. That's what they do around here.

Let me see them when they are done. I will be adding some myself. I can't imagine you could have the stock digital display since the heater controls etc are in the same panel but what do I know.

I was under the impression that the pads are all pretty similar though and the switches being the only major difference.

My dealer said I could have the switches installed "wherever" I'd like but I'm not sure about the pads.

You can just tell them which one you want. If they don't want to do what you want, take it else where.

Odds are it's not gonna happen at the dealer.

It will be a sub out and you'll be paying a premium to the dealer. Like a 'handling charge'.

Cancel the work and manage it yourself.

We had heated seats added to my wife's Rav4, they work well, but the switch was a cheapy 3 position rocker, mounted on the seat base trim. Be specific on what you will accept, and you'll be fine.

When I bought my sport it already had heated seats. The push button switches are located on each side of the display. Each switch has three settings. In the picture it is illuminated with my side on level 2 and my wife's side on level 3.

I think you have an 18 model by the look of your temperature controls and yours came stock from the factory like that. Not sure if you have to have a special package for the 17s to get it from the fa

Build date was September 2017 and I have the Sport upgrade package. Though it doesn't look like the heated seats were part of the upgrade package as it shows as standard on the dealer information sheet.

edit - Heat seats show standard on all models except 4 cyl SR+

The canadian trucks are slightly different.

This is stock on sport and offroad in canada.
