Thats our family’s favorite violation to get because we don’t even have a trash service at our house. We only produce 1-2 trash bags a week so we use our neighbors can (with his permission). Yet somehow about once every few months we get a trashcan violation

75w90 gear oil all around, except in your auto trans of course. No need for synthetic or LSD additives, the rear elocker doesn't require it.

Doing valve cover gaskets. Pulling off the drivers side cover and part of the plastic cover over the wiring harness for the injectors fell in the open head... and down the oil fill passage... so now I get to drop the oil pan and pray it made it down that far and didn’t get stuck somewhere in the middle.

Ouch. That was my biggest fear every time I heard some plastic break off, tape them up or break them apart and then electrical tape them before next time. Hope it all works out for you. I did mine yesterday and am chasing a P0171 lean code...

I broke them the rest of the way off and will tape them up. They were just worn and brittle. Freak accident that hopefully doesn’t screw me. Tear the bottom apart tomorrow and pray it’s in there.. if it would have fallen anywhere but that oil fill it would have been fine but f me lol

Glad to see you're still around! The truck is looking great and yes I'm still interested in the steps. Congrats on the new baby!

The circuit for the ADD is pretty complex but doesn't actually have anything to do with the push button, I reverse engineered it when i was building my truck so I could use the ADD wiring and relays to power my front e-locker. The ADD won't lock in until it detects the transfercase is actually in the 4wd position. The push button isn't sending any signal to the drive shaft disconnect actuator. The signal comes from the 4wd indicator switch in the t-case gettting continuity. Once the t-case circuit is complete the ADD automatically locks up.

IMO the 3rd gen only comes with one set of good looking wheels and those ain't them.

It's the off road wheel or nothing

Changed the calipers, rotors and pads today. Wish I could say with tundra stuff but sadly that’s not the case.

Eh, you don't have much weight so it isn't a huge deal. I'm getting near the limit of stock and I can still stop okay.

But I don’t get any points for stock brakes...

Eventually it will get done either way, I already have the wheels.

But I can’t complain, all the items stated above were free. Woooo for being young.

Replaced by stabilizer link bushings after 18+ years. It was time! :) I thought the bolt/nut situation at the bottom of the link was pretty cool when I discovered it.
