My 17 has a few more frills than the 11 did but I'd take the 11 over the third gen any day of the week. With the introduction of each gen It seems as though Toyota cut more and more corners. I'm glad I didn't wait and buy a 2018.
Hang on to that 2011 2nd gen. I have a feeling that it's going to be one of the best Tacomas that Toyota ever produced.

I would disagree about the TRD performance intake combined with the TRD exhaust, there is a noticeable difference in response. Have you driven a truck that has that setup? I think if you do you also will notice a difference in engine response. For those of us that have done that modification the consensus seems to be a noticeable improvement. Not looking to argue the point, just giving an opinion of someone who is happy with doing the modifications. And besides it looks cool.

60k, pristine inside and out. Not one single door ding, not one until t-boned on my way to work. Insurance Co gave me almost 24k when they totalled it out. Definately held its value. Adjuster was amazed by the condition aside from the damage. Can't say enough about NGM Insurance either. 2nd time they've come to my rescue and treated me far better than I expected!

My 2nd gen was the same color. I kept it for around a month after buying the 3rd gen and decided to sell it. It just turned 60k miles when I sold it. Oh well. More mod money. Wish that red was on option on 3rd gen.

So far no regrets. After the Toyota battles the first year I did question my decision. Now all great with the 3rd gen.

I can agree with this as well. I ran stock for a couple weeks after purchase then installed the TRD Intake and exhaust. Big difference.

Installed my Diamondback cover. Best cover I ever owned, and it's water tight. Just went through 2 noreasters and no water.

Falken Wildpeak A/T3W’s installed today, 265/70/17. Major upgrade in the looks department from the stock Toyo tires in my opinion. Really happy with them.
