For sure. Sucked I couldn't make the last one but it was a buddy's wedding. This time i got no plans and I know how hard it is to reach critical mass with these things. Plus you are a straight shot South from the city. Easy drive. I'm all in. Excited to see the shop.

ECT PWR Auto On Mod



I don't know if you guys use the ECT PWR button much but I like to have it on all the time. Makes it a much smoother/stronger ride IMO.

The theory is that Toyota does not have it on by default because of Fuel Efficiency standards. People who use it did not notice a significant MPG drop (<1 mpg) but I think a lot of that has to do with how you drive.

So I did Mesojdm's ECT Auto on Mod so that I don't have to remember to click the button when I get in. (Now it defaults to ECT On, you can turn it off)

MOD Day Setups

I've got 4 extra relays left over from the project. If anybody is interested I can cobble together the harness for this mod (up to 4) and bring them to MOD Day and we can slap them in.
Just let me know in advance so I can order more TR7 modules (adds a 2 second delay because Toyota) I'll put together the harnesses before the meet.

All that I ask is that you slide me 10 bucks at the meet for the TR7. Everything else you need I'll donate.

I like the idea of both items, and have considered ordering both on several occasions.

Then my reality sets in; I’m too cheap to save a few seconds to push a button that’s now muscle memory, I really don’t want to tear my dash apart, and I don’t give a shit if my gas cap hangs low and swings wide.

Good on ya for getting some mods done and making the ECT mode easier for others though

 

Well for $10 it could all be yours (sans gasshole). I can tear your dash apart for you while you look away and cover your ears. It is the worst.

********* 2channel amp (Installed previously so at least I don't have to run the power and grounds)

Chances of me getting it finished today 50/50 right now.

 

Reverse camera anytime is on my list. Love to hear how that goes for you. Hopefully next mod day I can pick your brain on that one.

 

There is not much to it. I just need to figure out how to tap into an accessory dimmer line on the left of the steering wheel for the button. Have a ch4x4 button.
