Not sure if anyone would be interested but thought I’d post here first. My boss is selling his 2002 Lexus. Other than fading paint and some cosmetic issues, he reports everything mechanically is fine. Photo is from yesterday and the hood is up because I was charging his battery up, as he hadn’t driven it in a couple months. Only 140,000 miles. He’s asking $3000 obo.

Looks like a bad gear set or just bad luck. It chipped both the heel and toe of the ring gear so it probably isn’t a pattern issue. Really strange break.

I rocked heavy ass 37’s on my 8.4 for years and no issues.

A locker will normally reduce breakages like this since you aren’t bumping things with speed to make them. Shock loading is what kills gears, so if you can crawl things they will hold up better.

I'm definitely glad I learned how to work 4lo a lot more. I hate driving easy trails in it though, must go faster! Lol

Serious, it's a game changer and makes life suck less with little clutch input.

His truck was parked to the left of trail, yours to the right. Moved you forward so I could get through. Swear I didn't park you in the hole on purpose :D
