BARELY can fit 33"s Im rubbing the LCA, UCA, and Frame on stock wheels. I want to get 35"s but that most likely wont happen.

    Other utilities include:

    • Actually having room for people to sit
      4x4
      SFA
Can have the best of both worlds, convertible and a offroad rig
So many things you can do.
And if your good with your mind and hands, you can still haul stuff.

Although I'm becoming a bit concerned lately about overall quality of the new Toyota's, I think that in general they are still better made than most trucks.

I had a Jeep (truck), a Chevy truck, and a Ford truck and all three were pieces of crap. Well, the Jeep was a junker when I bought it (but I thought that just had to have a FWD at the time) but both the Chevy and Ford were less than eight years old and were falling apart at less than 75k miles (the Chevy blew a rod and the Ford a head gasket).

When I got out of the service I spent some considerable time researching the best trucks and at the time the Toyota came out on top. For some reason, I've always wanted an "army"-type Jeep, ever since I was a little kid but couldn't afford one. Now that I could buy one, however, I realize that unless you want something only for off-road trail use they really are in no way comparable to Tacoma's. I recall a couple of years back when Consumer Reports rated the Tacoma 90 out of 100 it rated the Jeep Wrangler a 5 -- that's right 5 out of 100.

I agree that Jeep may not be the best out there but not even the fanciest Maybach is the best. I think Consumer Reports is more of a guide, Its what you want in a vehicle. Some people have zero problems with Wranglers while some may encounter problems.

But what I've seen and experienced, I think I will have a blast with a Jeep. Yes maybe if my truck was 4x4, I wouldn't remotely think about trading it in or what not. But because its not I feel like its not getting all the potential it can because its not 4x4.

The ratings are for stock Wranglers, but look whats out on the shelves and in the magazines, websites, etc. You can make a Jeep just as good, maybe better.

Granted there's limits on what you can do but its all what you feel. Personally, even though this is a different subject, I dont think Toyota is showing their colors and name too well right now. They have alot of "hidden" things I don't care for. Now I don't know the problems with Jeep right now, but I'm sure they can come clean with the issues they may be experiencing.

...Quality isn't what it used to be- its now quantity.

ahhh, how could I forget! I think the 2006 and earlier Wranglers are fuckin sick! I ended up with the Tacoma cause it better suited my needs (camping, fishing etc...) The Wranglers don't have a load bearing suspension at all...my buddy put a big cooler of bear and 7 bundles of wood in the back of his and it was saggin like hell...and he had a Teraflex lift...imagine if it were stock

2 things a jeep should not have. Square headlights (they finally fixed that) and 4 doors

2 thing a jeep should have a C and a J anything else is shit in my opinion.
