You drill holes all the way around in the rubber, and then just knock out the remaining rubber with a screw driver and hammer.Easy

The fronts are side specific. The driver's side perch sits higher to correct the "taco lean". They are labeled LF and RF. There are only 3 hardware bags in the kit. One bag is for the rear brake line and two are for the rear reservoir mounts.

If you bought it from the dealer then they should be able to make it right.

Hoping the fact that it is a discontinued kit does not cause any issues with getting the right part/spring

I think you'll be the first one on here to test the availability of individual parts since they discontinued the kits. Good luck and let us know how it works out.

I had the Bilstein Pro kit installed (Goodyear Tire) a few days ago with the headstrong progressive AAL on my 17 OR DCSB. I left in the overload leaf. Some thoughts after 300 miles:

    Lift/'levelness':
On the driver's side the truck as a difference of ~1.25" between front and rear (rear high). The passenger's side has a delta of 2.25" with the rear an inch higher on pax side than driver's side. Gas tank is full. I'm hoping that over time it balances out - I QC'd the install and everything is similar on each side - no obvious reason for the extra 1" on passenger rear.

    Ride quality:
Like everyone else says, you 'feel' more through these shocks/struts. It isn't harsh at all, feels great in turns, no more floating. You feel minor things through the steering that weren't apparent w/ stock suspension. Over big potholes or a string of uneven/poorly maintained pavement the suspension really dampens everything out a lot better than the stock OR. Overall, I am very pleased with the change. I plan to take it off into the desert tomorrow - I would guess I'll be similarly thrilled.

    Post-install issues:
I have a minor vibration accelerating between 6-12 mph. I crawled under the truck this afternoon to check U bolt torque and found one side was loose. I tightened that and took it for a spin again and I'd say 50% of the harshness is gone. Goodyear installed what looks like 2 degree shims, I think, hard to tell. ***edit: turns out the shim is stock, they didn't add anything.*** I am going to drive the truck around another week and start messing with washers and carrier bearing. After the install/lift, the steering was canted to the left and obviously out of whack a bit. I drove like that for ~250miles and took it to my dealer for alignment today. Truck now drives perfect, minus the vibration.

Any chance that they installed the shocks on the wrong side? Driver's side shock has the spring set at a different height to account for the taco lean

I don't think so, it is my understanding the fronts are the only ones that are different, right? Both fronts seem to be sitting roughly level, close enough there isn't a significant difference. It's only the back right that looks bizarro.

When I see the truck from that side I think I want to take out the OL. When I see it from the other side, I'm happy. When it finishes settling perhaps there will be more reason to drop the OL.

Look and see if you can see the notch in shock body below spring on driver side. It's strange your back is off that far. It would be if the installed fronts on wrong sides.

Did my fronts today along with Camburg Uniball UCA's. Going to try and finish up with the rears and an icon AAL tomorrow.
