That's a great idea! Did you use an existing threaded hole, and what size screw did you use?

 

Did you paint the hinges black or did they come that way? Mine came unpainted.

 

I really like those covers. Been doing research and have come down to that one or the Bakflip MX4. Realistically - how long would it take you to remove that cover by yourself and what would the removal process entali?

 

I just watched some YouTube videos. You can remove each panel independently, in about 5 minutes. The whole cover looks like about 15 minutes.

I ordered it all from hondo garage, mic clip too. They provided all the hardware. It uses an existing hole and they provide a longer screw so it works.

 

Can you post a side shot of your truck? I have s black sr5 and wanting to get the pro wheels. Can't find a good pic from the side of black trd pros.

The cover is powder coated. As for the hinges you could paint them if you wanted, once you fold a panel past 90 degrees the hinges can slide apart.

I can do it in about 5-7 minutes now. The two large panels come off by folding them past 90 degrees and then just sliding the hinges apart, they are only 25-30lbs each. The small middle panel comes off by using a ratchet and socket, 4 bolts. I camp and hunt so I wanted a cover that I could load things on top and tie it down. Top quality cover and the customer service has been great, you won’t be didappointed if you get it.
