Ugh if only... I just blew my fun money getting on the waiting list for 6112's/5160's. When my Kevlars (or really my patience) wear out those will be at the top of the list.

Probably smart! I should have waited it out but my need for instant gratification took over. Trying to sell my kevlars with 20k on them was annoying. Ended up giving someone an awesome deal on them just so I didn’t have to store them anymore.

TBH I'm probably only fooling myself with my last statement. As soon as the lift goes on they'll be too pretty to wait on.

I'm right at 20,000 mi on my Kevlars so they're going to be pretty much worthless, resale-wise, before too much longer as well.

I got about $150 for them, probably could have got more if I tried harder but at that point I just didn’t care lol.

Getting ready to sell mine with 5k on them. I figure it's gonna be a pain. But like you, I don't want to store them.

I sold mine w/similar mileage for $125/ea on Craig’s list in a day. Just wanted them gone and the $500 lessened the pain of the Duratracs.

Thanks, man. They look good on a 1st Gen. I was afraid that size would look too skinny.

Now to do some research on how I want to go: 255, 245, 235, or stick with 265/75r16s.

I ran 4 sets on my old 2500 dodge Cummins 4x4 at the time I worked for a mining company here in South Texas and the tires probably saw 60% highway and 40% off road every day. The truck had a ranch hand grill guard, tool box plus abut 400+ lbs of gear at all times. Any way I never had a single problem with balancing them and I beat the crap out of them and had more broken ball joints in the front end then I ever care to remember hence I will never own a glass jaw dodge again! I would generally get about 35,000+ miles on these tires which was better than any BFG or Nitto I had tried at the time. The service roads we used would chip tires out like a cheese grader and a fresh cut sendero with weesatch roots would puncture them fairly easily as well. After reluctantly switching to the Coppers I was hooked and ran them the entire time I owned the truck. When I built our 4Runner in 2015 I decided to go with them again since I knew what they were capable of and I have had this rig all over the South West and have had zero problems with balancing, chipping out or punctures. My only real complaint is they run on the small size and they are super heavy which really isn't a bad thing since it just means better construction... Also it seems you can find every tire doesn't balance on the internet but it really goes back to who is balancing it and the wheel also plays a big part in this and most idiots at a tire shop assume all wheels are perfect since they never check them first! Any way just my 02c....

What about the Firestone Destination MT2 in 235/85/16? Load E, Weigh 47 lbs. I just came across these and am considering them when it comes time to replace.

from the small amount of reading ive done, and based off one of the reviews here, the tread wear seems to be related to the load range of the tire, the closer you get to E-load, the longer the tire lasts.

2 inches in the rear and a smidge less than that in the front.

I will be putting skinnies on when the OEMs wear out on my 2016. Any issues using 1" spacers with the skinnies with no lift kit? My apologies if this topic already covered.

I'm thinking of going with 235/85/16 when my Duratracs in 265/75 either wear out or deteriorate too much. Debating between Cooper AT3, ST Maxx, or Falken Wildpeak AT3w.

I'm likely to go with 255/85/16, but would also consider 235/85/16, whichever is least likely to rub.

Must say, I just got my snow tires, (late in season, I know) which are 265/70r18 and I am surprised by how much I like them. That being said my mpg is the same and I do not like them in the dry as much as my 305's. the high aspect ratio is all over the place pulling any form of lateral G's.
