I have a RCI rack, not sure if the KB voodoo stuff will attach properly, but 100 bucks for two pieces of metal without the fork mounts? Ouch. lol

Apologies, all the mounts, CB, High Lift, light pod brackets are included in the price. I haven't had a customer ask for integrated fork mounts but they would be included in the price of the bars also.

    Thanks,

    -Tony

I've got mine on a mid-height, and it's great for sitting down, or for getting the kids out of the wind. Not great for standing in though.

    love this thread.

Getting an ARE camper shell on my 04 double cab, and it'll have the Yakima tracks installed.

Looking at the Yakima Skyrise and Tepui Ayer Sky tents. (Both in the $1000 range.) I think Tepui is probably the better tent, but Yakima's mounting system is really nice.

They do sell the mounting clamps separately, but it'd be over $200 for just the mounts.

    https://www.yakima.com/skyrise-rail-w-clamp

Anyone fabricate something like this for non-yakima RTTs?

Its all in great shape and a friend/coworker is selling but i know little. The tent is 1299 brand new awning is 250$ new. Trailer is a 12” military flatbead with fabricated sides and 35” tires with a spare. It has a special off road hitch (not the circle one) but an aftermarket welded on.

Did your co-worker put a price out there and you are trying to counter? If so, how much is he asking? It's a sweet setup for sure. The trailer is probably worth a grand from looking at them on military surplus sites. Tires, maybe another $500-600 or so, depending on brand and wear. Is it wired for anything other than brake lights? I'd probably go in at $2500, maybe $3000 with my palms up saying I dunno how much this is worth but would you take this much? Be prepared to pay more, though. I've seen some of these built up trailers being sold for several thousands of dollars. This one is just not quite that built up.

It's about time to put the RTT back on my truck. It sat in storage through the winter, but the weather is starting to turn nice. It's about time to do some camping with the family. :bananadance:

I dunno how I would feel about it at that price. You can get a fully built overland trailer for a few grand if you want to drive a bit.

Looking for information on how an RTT will cope being in the Florida sun all year long?

What do you think about the tent itself though? I don't care about the cover, that's what it's for :)

I would think its the cover that might suffer from being in the sun all the time. Would you plan to have your tent open all the time?

Then it’ll be fine, just don’t pack it wet. If you do open it up ASAP and let it dry out
