Good perspective, I appreciate the positive slant. After sitting on it for 20', it's not the worst thing that could have happened! I know they'll make it right. (and thank you all for pointing out a potential issue!)

If I could pose one more question to the group, for those of you that added a Headstrong progressive AAL and the Bilstein Pros WITHOUT the overload spring, what was the level of the rake? About 1" higher in back?

Got my HS aal. Now debating putting in spacer on driver side when doing the install or waiting to see if it has lean...Ill probably have to pay someone to install cause a screwed up back. Wonder if the 17 D-cabs have a tendency to lean? HHmmm might make a good separate survey question. Not sure how to start survey thread for DCSB with this kit and a taco lean or not.

yes exactly. I recall some early adopters of the suspension a lean too but later others didn't. So mine was pretty bad but the rears are near even.

My mistake was I was rushing and didn't check the passenger side prior. It wasn't too bad for me to put it on but it was almost like reinstalling it twice. I got it done under an hour even with a few set backs due to rushing.

If you got a bad back I'd be cautious unless you got access to a lift so you can stand up. I was hella sore after doing it last time but i get sore for anything i do. lol

So you actually bought the kit and it had mis-matched coilovers? A 4Runner part!?

Yes that is correct, that is the actual pic of the fronts within the kit I purchased, some A1 weaksauce for sure. I'm under the impression that there will be a TRD Pro Bilstein 4Runner kit out there with a tacoma spring....:notsure:

Thanks for letting us know...just checked mine and they are correct. I would be in a pickle if paying someone else to do it twice. @Rob Daman Think I better measure tomorrow and see if I have the T_lean. If so I may just order the one spacer and do it at the same time. I am tempted to order two like one other person to get little extra lift...hhmm but only if they were even now...which I don't think they would be.

If you have about 1/2 inch taco lean you should be ok with no extra parts. If you're more than that then you'll have to go like I did.

You could definitely order a pair and see to get 1/2 inch lift on both sides.

Runner vs Tacoma... They aren't a direct swap. So, the installer would figure it out real quick.

I think it's great, but then I had a 2013 Baja, so it seems right to me. It is excellent rock crawling which we have lots of here in New Mexico. It's great on washboard roads as well. I've thought of installing larger UCAs, but haven't decided yet. They do bottom out, but not by much.

Alrighty people, I finally got my shackle bushings out and the bolts are corroded pretty badly. This pics are post wd40 and wire brush clean up. The 3 auto parts stores nearby didn't have replacements but I can hit McMaster or something like it after work.

Am I wrong thinking these things need to be replaced? I don't see the point of leaving a friction point in a brand new suspension upgrade.DSC_1009.jpg DSC_1007.jpg DSC_1008.jpg

I’ll measure when I’m done with the rear, she is up on jacks now.
