I called them and told them the problem. It is weird because on the drivers side there is a lip that goes under the hood but on passenger side I can put my fingers under it with a big gap. Lund thinks it was a defect and sent me a foam filler to fill the gap. weird. BUT I bought it through Autoanyting and they fixed the problem. They warrantied the item and replaced it with no cost.
Doesnt really fix my surround though. So I will see when the new one gets here what it looks like underneath and go from there.
Damn fedex had my delivery scheduled for 3/7 then the 8th it changed to pending and said the same on the 9th till about 6pm when it changed to the 10th and then the 10 rolled around and it said "On truck for delivery" day came and went and it still says on the truck for delivery but now says expected delivery is TUESDAY 3/13. WTF FEDEX.

Here’s a photo of my AVS, but it looks just like this ^ on my white 2017 OR too. Both the AVS bugscreen and the window vents were easy to install and I have had no problems with them at all. Google AVS rebate before you buy - they had a rebate a few months back and may have another sometime again.

I purchased mine at Pep Boys for like $45 with a discount. It installed with screws under the hood rather than adhesive tape(really??) and does not appear to be close enough to damage any paint surfaces. The ugly AVS logo easily came off to reveal a nice etched, but discreet logo that is not at all distracting. I like the looks, fit and function of this piece. Keeper.

Yeah, so small I dont notice it. You can zoom in on @Buffalo ‘s pic above and see it on the right side over the bend.

Edit: the branding on the bugshield is a silicone decal, comes right off.

Same happened with mine. Put a mark on the surround and started to rub paint off just under the lip on the hood that’s over the headlights. What I did was put door edge guards on the lip over the headlights, on the surround at the bend (covered the mark), and dead center on the hood. All is discreet and can’t even tell they are there and it will protect the paint.
