Love it, and I love your openness to share your story with us. You don't go into the jungles of Papua New Guinea and expect to find rocket scientists or engineers that work on 747's. I'm sure your story will help someone else think before trying this mod. Thanks for sharing!!!

Oh, when they first arrived I told them they'd need to "mask up" and put on Scott Packs because it was acrid smoke from burning plastic. I came completely clean about what had happened. They were pretty cool and then started to give me shit. The fire chief told me if I had bought a "real" truck from the start, like a Ford Raptor, that it came with blacked out headlights, which would have prevented all this from happening.

To be honest, the oven actually looked just fine, despite the smell of Satans farts and some melted plastic on the inside. I think between the smell and the difficulty of removing the plastic they just decided to replace it. In fact they told me they could leave it over the weekend, and that I would only be able to use the "top" and not bake anything. Because of the smell I asked them to just take it.

Could've used one of those for my dick.

Over the years it may have saved me from doing stoopid shit with it.

Gotta protect yer Franks 'n beans.

My wife would've wanted an explanation for what I'd done.....why I'd removed the headlight from my new truck and baked it in our freaking house oven ?????

No excuse would've made any sense, either.

Yup.....dude....on this day, you are the Franks'n beans guy.

And thank you for making my dumb arse feel a little be less dumb.

And thank you for the laugh. This is some funny shit right here. I'm glad you survived intact. Think of the $700 as punishment. Hopefully your wife won't kick you in the nads when she gets home. You'd better go ahead and line up some strange because you will not be getting any lovin at home for a long, long while.

LMMFAO and feeling a bit relieved that you did this before I tried it.

Thanks for taking the time to take pics.....and for posting. Post up pic's of the wife's reaction.

The smoke was coming out of the vent on the top of the stove. It got REALLY, REALLY bad (like World Trade Center) once I put the fire out.

Well, from your posts, it sounds like you have already paid your dues.

Glad it is working out for you, since you deserve it imo.

    Thank you.

Idk if suggestions have been mentioned yet, but if you are crazy enough to try this again I would recommend you use a wooden cutting board. I had to bake mine At 330 degrees cuz it wouldn’t budge and I didn’t have the slightest problem with anything catching fire. Also, you probably shouldn’t take your eyes off of something that’s potentially a fire hazard haha glad no one got hurt though.

I got to ask Mike, are you still planning on doing the BHLM or not?

So the real question is, are you going to do the BHLM mod to your new headlight?
