I am looking at purchasing a 2010 Double Cab TRD Sport Long Bed this summer and I just wanted to know if anybody knew of any good deals going on or when is the best time to buy! I want to get the best deal possible and if that means waiting a few more weeks then so be it.

I am hoping some people that work for Toyota may be on here and can tell me some information. But guys please help me figure out the best time to buy my truck. I would like to have it in June or July if at all possible and I figured since the 2011's would be coming out that I should be able to get a 2010 for a better deal! Please help guys, and if you think I should wait for the 2011 then let me know!

IMO any time is as good as the next. They get paid on commission and the little effers are money hungry. I know Toyota is still offering 0%/36mo financing on the taco and free scheduled maintanance, which is just icing on the cake if you negotiate a good deal. Just deal like a mofo and play dealers against each other. Don't let them tell you the price, you are the buyer so you tell them what you are willing to pay. If they don't play ball, leave. There are a bazillion Toyota dealers out there just waiting to sell you a truck below invoice.

This is so true! I got one dealer down to 28,000 plus nurf bars and new mats! But I dnt think its a good deal! I really want to get them down to 25000-26000 but that may be unreasonable for a fully loaded 2010 sport!

4x4 or PreRunner? I paid $26,000 for my PreRunner including 100k mile warranty. But I felt violated when I came on here and found out a few people were getting the 4x4 for about that.

Check your local dealers' web sites and look for the "Internet Department" or something similar. Sounds stupid but the dealers that have them know it's a high volume/low margin arrangement. At least it's "low margin" for Toyota...

I picked mine up ('09 DC LB Prerunner TRD Sport with Tow Package) from Fred Anderson Toyota (Carl Anderson was my sales guy).

    MSRP: $28,090
    TTL/Fees: $1,489.30
    Total: $29,579.30

After haggling a bit (two emails and a phone call worth) I wound up with this:

    Price: $24,136
    TTL/Fees: $1,415.68
    Total: $25,551.68

A little over $4K off, or ~15% discount. It worked for me, especially considering everyone told me Toyota wouldn't discount on price due to their reputation (this was in June, 2009). If I were buying now I'd push for a better price.

My 10 MGM DC LB 4X4 (7596) TRD Sport (PYAT), 6 disc in dash, running lights, tow package, trd mats, toyo guard, chrome tip, bull bar ran me 30,750 + tax. All fees were included in the 30,750. MSRP was 32,900.

More options than what I really wanted, but the truck was on the lot and most of the extra options were not that bad.

Go through carsdirect.com or Edmunds.com. It will hook you up with the internet sales at local dealers. You can even haggle the price. I did it when I bought my 03 tacoma. Plus those sites will show any dealer hold back or rebates

I also live in NC and I'm in the market for a new Tacoma. I've been researching the different dealers and pricing for several months.

First off, Carl Anderson from Fred Anderson Toyota is great! He sold me a Sienna 6 years ago for my wife. Stand up guy and he did well by us. We didn't buy our last Toyota from him due to price... I really wanted to, but he was about $600 more, so I drove to Fayetteville NC and bought from Hendrick Toyota.

Back to the Tacomas. If you're looking for good prices, I've found pretty good prices at jimbarkleytoyota.com in Asheville, NC. They have their selling price listed on their site and they don't charge any doc fees! It's a bit of a drive from Eastern NC, but if it saved you a grand, it would be worth it.

Another place that I've found pretty good prices is from carmax.com. They actually have a Toyota new car dealership in Laurel, MD (DC area) and their prices are also clearly posted and their doc fees are only $99.

Again, both of these places are a ways away, but they'll give you some comparisons to the local dealerships if nothing else.

FYI - I'm looking for a Tacoma, but can't decide if it would be worth waiting until the 2011's come out. Anyone have any idea when this will be?

In the markey for a Tacoma Doublecab, Automatic, 4wd, TRD Off Road, Towing Pack.

Let me know if anyone finds a good deal on one.

Their service department is the worst I have ever encountered. I hate them with vengeance! Completely pig headed and unwilling to listen to common sense or the customer. After my first two visits, which ended in a big blowup, I switched to Leith and have been extremely happy.

What I said was, "Carl Anderson from Fred Anderson Toyota is great!"

I can't speak of the service department as I've never used them except for recalls.

I know...I was just making a statement. I take any chance I can to bash them. :D

I have no issues with their sales department.
