The same shit everyone else has.
    This past week -

Picked up an Ipad Mini 3 to use for navigating off road on fishing/camping/hunting trips.

Remounted my Ultragauge using the window mount

    Today -

Finally addressed my bent fuel filler door. Apparently this is a common thing with these trucks??

Catch can install. Mounting bracket needs painted once its gets warmer out. The rubber hose will get replaced with some new stuff soon. Didnt realize I the stuff I had laying around I planned on using was starting to crack.

Painted a few things dark gunmetal - hood scoop and mesh insert, grill mesh inserts including triangles, front bumper insert, and skid plate. (Sanded and primered everything behind the mesh grill insert, still need to paint that all black and relocate the horn)

    20180310_203019.jpg
(Paint is nice and even on scoop, lighting/flash looks weird in this pic)

Added TRD emblem to grill ( I now have a total of 1 emblem on the truck lol)

Wired up some blue LED's behind the mesh in hood scoop and down by opening in the front bumper insert.

Installed LED (RGB with tons of colors and modes with remote control) underneath entire length of bed railing. All wired up and tested, but waiting on an additional switch to arrive so I can complete.

Looks awesome.... Where did you get the LED strip for the hood scoop? I've been thinking about doing this.

Wal mart like 4 years ago lol. In the automotive section There's 2 strips for like $12 if I remember right. They come attached to a battery pack to test the look while in packaging.
I installed the same kind in red on my Ducati 4 years ago and holding up perfect.

I bought another Z71 because in my opinion it's the best 1/2 ton truck I've ever had, and I have had a few. I love the Tacoma and all it's predecessors it my new job will help me maintain my Toyota problem.

Hey guys... haven't been active on here in a long time... but figured I'd share. After replacing my stock 05 shift knob with an aftermarket one, then a newer model Taco knob... I decided to get rid of the silver paint and chrome portions of the knob. Carbon Fiber vinyl wrap on the top... and coated the chrome with plastidip and black paint.

Turned out alright... should hold me off until I decide to pay the money for a new Taco knob... perhaps the TRD PRO piece????

Hey man, any chance you can walk through your installation of the wiring harness? I plan on getting some ditch lights from CBI and the wiring is the only thing that I was worried about, also any particular reason why you picked that location for your switch too? I've seen multiple installs and it seems everyone put their switch there, but I have an open spot on the left side of the steering column next to the fog lamp push button and was thinking that was a good location.

This is the first time since mounting my RTT that it's been taken off the rack. Not sure how I feel about it without the RTT on; feels kinda naked...

    Too many to list.
I used this video as reference. My switch was installed underneath the climate control because I didn't have a blank to the left of my steering wheel.

    https://youtu.be/K_AVZqezCBE

Installing the harness is the easiest thing you'll do.

One end (split + and -) goes to the battery terminals
Another end goes to the switch (see video)
And the other, with split ends) is for the LED pods.

I had to add about 6 inches of 14 gauge wire to the led pod end.

You will have to cut the cowling. Once you put the brackets on the cowling will not fit without modification.

And this is the biggest thing:

Don't do what I did.. avoid using a screw driver to remove the windshield wiper arms. They may be seized on there so spray them with pb blaster and let it sit for a day or two. Or you can use an windshield wiper arm puller (do a Google search as you have lots of options). I broke to windshield trying to pry the arm off with a screw driver.

    I hope his helps.
