PTR13-35150 - Bilstein TRD PRO kit - Upgrade??

For anyone with more knowledge than me regarding this, what are the differences in the springs [rate] if any. I just looked at my kit [installed] and have the same mismatch. Any information is appreciated.

 

it's to fix the Taco lean. no diff in spring rates.

 

Thanks for the response Rob, but what I was referring to is the mismatched spring part numbers I quoted in the thread [see pic]. I have mismatched springs and wanted to know if they were exactly the same, just different part numbers or have to go nuts trying to swap for correct one. I believe eibach tuned the springs the same for the TRD pro 4Runner and Tacoma kit. Thanks again

If they are the same, no biggie. We will see once someone more versed on this subject schools me. Gotta get back under there anyway to install the ECGS bushing....The needle bearing is barking!

 

Ok. After installing a @HeadStrong Off-Road 1/4 inch spacer and getting my THIRD alignment at Firestone I think I got Hard Shell Taco dialed in. I did a vid on the spacer and since I had technical difficulty on my vlog video of the front install... so I did more details on how to put the spacer on. You're basically taking it apart like a swap.

And I did it under an hour including working in the rain. lol.

 

Can you say where you purchased from so everyone else can verify matches on their own sets?

Did you and the other guy with a mismatch buy from the same place?

 

Conicelli Toyota. Different dealerships....I think you will find many more mismatches since this was exposed by @93truck....

I purchased mine from Ourisman Fairfax Toyota.

 

Again anyone who finds out any information to resolve this, please post. Now I am driving around on a possible problem! I should have been more vigilant like @93truck.

Did the box you received the kit in have the Toyota Part sticker w/ PTR13-35150? Was it repackaged? Just wondering if this was a Toyota problem and didn’t have anything to do with the dealer?

 

My guess it was a Toyota problem. It was packaged as if it came from factory and yes part sticker was correct....Had to happen when they were assembling the coil over.

 

Part number correct on shocks but different on springs

 

Same exact thing as mine. My thoughts are the springs are the same! Just waiting for confirmation....Bonus is you didn't install yet and can wait for confirmation. I'm beat at the moment!

 

Each shock was packaged individual and sealed. Looked like factory packaging to me .
