I'm keeping my Pro stock for the most part. (gotta pay this thing off!) Also, if I decide to get rid of it in the next couple years, I suspect demand/resale would be higher on stock.

If I take front or rear bumper damage, I will likely get some steel and then I'd have to get a winch I suppose too.

I best practice for that day:

"Boy honey, it sucks that lady rear ended me. These bumpers sure are expensive to replace!"

Had the dealer throw in the Pro Skid plate and 265/75R16 KO2s when I bought the truck, going to add a set of sliders and a hidden winch mount for the old Warn I have kicking around but that's it until my warranty is over and the truck is paid off.

I got them from my dealer but can't remember the manufacturer but I'll find out.

Ordered my truck two weeks ago. Could be weeks to months before I get it. Only planning on two small mods, rear diff breather and a/c drain mods. Also, two accessories, truck cap and bed d-rings.

Way, way, way down the road I might look at full length skid plates and winch/bumper setup. If I find that I really will need and/or use them. If not, I'll just keep my money in my pocket.

I'm not going to do much more than the front window tint I added shortly after buying the taco. Definitely a tonneau in the very near future. Maybe the TRD beadlock wheels and some KO2s. But thats all.

I told myself no but that failed pretty quickly. Now I just try to make sensible mods when I can.

I was wondering about that, if the dealer would give you more because of mods when trading in. I was figuring no since my truck was just under Kelley Blue book when I bought it, but I wasn't sure

Is it difficult to change the shift knob? I never thought about doing that, but now that you mention it...

I only do Mod's that I can take off the truck when I turn it in. That's if I can reuse them of course 13082622_993261327406308_8463582324423856890_n.jpg
I used to have a Bad Habit of putting Accessories on my trunk and them trade it for some else to enjoy lol.

I'm sure you're not the only one, but you're one of very few on this forum I bet. However, as others have said, it usually starts with one or two small mods, next thing you know, it's easier to count the stock parts than mods!

Mine didn't leave the dealership without new wheels/tires, and 1 month in I have a laundry list of mods including a lift.

I planned on only doing the suspension an 3rd gen rims but once I started I can’t can’t help myself. More power to those who can resist but I do wheel my truck an want it to be protected I’d rather have the armor instead of a dent my way of thinking. Scratches meh already was when I got it.

At least on the 2015, you just unscrew it

No mods for me. This is my 5th Tacoma and I have never done any modifications to any of them. When I sold them they always had low mileage and they brought a ton of money being completely stock. My 17 is one year old this month and currently has only 1765 miles on it. I do enjoy looking at the great work some of guys do on yours though.

Is there a certain color or brand to avoid? I want tints (got ceramic in my GTI) for the fronts but since the rears are already tinted I was wondering what % / brand / color to go with.
