Just curious. I PM'd that I'd like it powder coated in inferno if possible. Have you had any other requests for that and/or what color code is it actually from that site. So many options I'd rather not guess if you already have the experience. Inferno would be so awesome.

I got your pm. I’m not if I can color match it accurately. Colors on a screen don’t always match up in real life. I had a recent customer that had that problem. I’ll research it and get back with you privately and we can go from there.

So this may just be the solution I am looking for but I do have a few questions regarding space.

Can someone run some tape and tell me the width from panel to seat on these? I have one of the "all-in-one" jump starter/compressor kits that I like to carry around but i don't like to leave it in the bed and I have it sitting on the floorboard. Its pretty wide and doesn't fit in the current storage boxes.

    Thanks in advance y'all.

So I finally got around to installing my panel in my access cab today, and none of the lower holes line up. Am I missing something here?

No you’re not. This is an intermittent problem for access cabs, even within the same generation. This was stated in the OP as well.

I don’t think that was in the OP when I ordered mine, but shame on me if it was. So the solution is to drill my own holes this brand new $230 panel. o_O Got it.

It was. No shame for anyone. I pride myself in being as transparent as possible. As soon as I found out about this issue and the inability to accurately identify it, I placed it in the OP several group buys back so people can make an informed decision on whether or not they wanted to order it.

Well then I must have missed it. No big deal in the big scheme of things. Won’t be the first time I had modify shit to fit. Surely it won’t be the last. No where near as bad as having to take an angle grinder to a diff skid. I can deal with it.

I think it happens due to tolerances when the factory welded the sheet metal together, as in that photo it dosent look off bu much, half a hole width or so

Hey Doc, I finally got around to making a couple of panels for the Wife’s XJ out of my cut offs.

Didn’t really have to “make” them. The pieces were actually perfectly sized.

I have a bunch of stainless washers left over from my trailer build, so I just used those instead of running out for spacers. I mean, it’s only a Jeep...

Why I had cut offs in case anyone is wondering.

Anyone looking for a good DIY coating, I love this stuff. I paint anything that I want black with it.

It’s not thick. Really just textured paint if you ask me. Dries fast & goes on nice.

I even top coat it if I want a textured finish that’s not black.

Maybe I need to give this stuff another try. I had trouble with it recently. It's almost like the tip was getting clogged so it was only shooting out the aerosol and not the paint.

That’s my only complaint. When that happens, it will only work upside down.

I’ve been having much better luck with these lately. I also periodically turn it upside down and spray to keep the nozzle clean while using it.

However, I always buy extra and return any can that stops working half way through. HD is good about returns at least.

Can someone measure the amount of space this adds on the floor between the panel and seat?

I'm not trying to be obnoxious but I need to know if this is going to work for my intended purpose. Thank you in advance!
