My dealer didn't list pinstriping and door guards on the sticker, but they're on my truck. I didn't even notice the pinstripe for a week or so, but i don't mind it. Pretty sure it adds another 5hp off the line.

I think it’s Bros Fourr Speed I believe (I’m not 100% sure though). The rest of the truck looks okay but on the blue it really stands out. By th way the stripe color is either white or silver. Again it’s just my opinion so others may disagree which is totally understandable.

Doesn't look bad but not something I would go looking to add or pay extra for.

Its about .5% of the sale price. Not really that big a deal in my opinion. About $3 added to the payment. Unless you are paying cash. However if you have $35,000 in cash, you can probably scrape together another 189 bucks. I know it feels like you are getting f'd, but think about how aggressive the car market is right now in our age of information. Vehicles are priced and discounted so competitively, that dealers are installing these small additional items to try to pick up a small margin of profitability. As buyers we want the world... lowest price, best service, free coffee, donuts, lounge area, loaner cars, free car washes, capable staff. That all costs money. Picking up an extra $150 profit per unit, helps pay for all that stuff. I know its the norm to hate on our dealers, but until we can buy a new car online and have it shipped to the house, or return it via mail for warranty work, we need our dealer networks.

This was a massive dealership with a multi-million dollar showroom. I do not feel bad for them at all. This is simply a slimy tactic to screw customers out of a few extra bucks - and in many cases hiding it from them.

People have to make money. If it bothers you that much, don't buy from them. As a matter of fact don't buy any new product from a retailer ever.

Really? Yes, I'm sure some dealerships are just getting by, but around here our dealerships are large, well-established, and the owners are all rich. No doubt they got that way fleecing buyers and that's become harder thanks to the internet and the ability to be well-informed, but I see no reason give dealers a pass on trying to rip people off. Yes, we need good dealerships to help maintain our vehicles, but a good dealership is one that respects customers and is open and honest.

    Blows my mind.
People walk into a giant electronics store, with CEOs making billions of dollars, and shell out money for a big screen TV that cost pennies on the dollar to make. Walk out with a smile from ear to ear.
But roll onto a car lot and act like the everyone there is a millionaire and are going to retire early because they are fucking every one they can every chance they get. I just don't get it.

Bad analogy. Electronics stores don't add crap and jack up the price (not to my knowledge at least). If they did try to add some crap to my TV to increase their profits and wasn't clear and upfront about it I'd balk at that. Who wouldn't?

This looks pretty clear and upfront to me.
Anyway. Don't get all worked up over it. We can agree to disagree.
Disclaimer- I am not a dealership employee.

I don't know any CEOs making billions, but regardless, when you buy a TV you are buying the technology with R and D. That is why last year's model is cheaper, and two years is even cheaper. In your scenario it would be like buying a TV at Walmart and getting charged an additional $200 for an anti-static compound sprayed on the screen. When you buy a car you are paying Toyota for building it but you are also paying the dealership to get it to you. You shouldn't have to worry about dealerships slapping on extra stuff just to make more money.

With that being said, dealerships do it because it works. People don't do their research and they don't negotiate well on the whole.

I found the same thing when shopping for my truck. One dealer claimed it included the oil changes. Some stickers claimed the added strips and floor mats yet neither were on the truck. The add a sticker seems to be making a comeback! I've also noticed the processing fees just keep going up and up and you're not getting anything more for it either.

True. At least there, they have to utilize a
bit of salesmanship to convince you that you need ridiculously expensive, over engineered hdmi cables. They don’t just tack them on to the price on the way to the register.
